Might & Magic: Road to Paris Tournament
OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. ELIGIBILITY: Might & Magic: Duel of Champions Paris Tournament (the “Competition”) is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (and the District of Columbia), Canada, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Poland, Canada, Hungary, China, Australia, Russia, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry and who have a current Uplay account and Duel of Champions account. Players who compete in online qualifiers must also have a minimum 1100 ELO at time of registration to participate. No ELO limits for live event components. Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor, and each of their affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, franchisees, distributors, dealers, sales representatives, their advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Competition (collectively, the “Competition Entities”), and each of their immediate families (i.e., parents, spouse, siblings, children, grandparents, step parents, stepchildren and step siblings, and their respective spouses, and those living in the same household, whether or not related) are not eligible to participate. Subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial, municipal, territorial and local laws, directives and regulations. Void outside of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Poland, Hungary, China, Australia, Russia, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark and where prohibited.

2. SPONSOR: Ubisoft Inc. located at 625 3rd Street San Francisco, CA.

3. COMPETITION PERIOD: The Competition will begin 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) on Saturday, May 25,
2013 and will end at 6:00 pm PT on November 3, 2013, or after the final duel has taken place, whichever
comes last.

4. COMPETITION DESCRIPTION:

The Competition will consist of a mixture of online qualifiers and live event tournaments that will culminate in sending 8 finalists to compete for the World Championship at the 2013 Paris Games Week, where one (1) Grand Prize winner will win a Might & Magic prize package valued at $4,500 USD.

There will be 8 Tournaments to get to the World Championship: The winner of each of these tournaments will be flown to Paris Games Week to compete in the Road to Paris World Championship Finals:

[Live Events] North America: Single elimination bracket tournaments at KublaCon, Origins Game Fair, Gen Con and FanExpo in North America – resulting in a total of 4 winners. The 4 live tournament winners will compete online in a round robin tournament in September, the Top 2 from the round robin stage will compete head‐to‐head in a best of 5 duel series to determine the North American Live champion and the bid to the World Championship in Paris

[Live Event] Dreamhack – Single elimination bracket tournament at Dreamhack in Sweden, winner wins a bid to the World Championship in Paris.



[Live Event] GamesCom ‐ Single elimination bracket tournament at GamesCom in Germany, winner wins a bid to the World Championship in Paris.

[Live Event] EuroGamer Expo ‐ Single elimination bracket tournament at EuroGamer Expo in England, winner wins a bid to the World Championship in Paris.

[Live Event] PAX Australia ‐ Single elimination bracket tournament at PAX Australia in Melbourne, winner wins a bid to the World Championship in Paris.

[Online Event] July Online Qualifier – Players register on the road2paris.com website to have their regular online duels data tracked for the month of July 2013. Those players ranked according to a win percentage of a minimum 1100 ELO may register and play 50 regular online duels to qualify for the bid to Paris. At the end of the month, the top 16 players will compete in a best of 3 single elimination bracket tournament, with a best of 5 for the semi‐finals and final round. Overall winner wins a bid to the World Championship in Paris

[Online Event] August Online Qualifier – Players register on the road2paris.com website to have their regular online duels data tracked for the month of August 2013. Those players ranked according to a win percentage with a minimum 1100 ELO may register and play 50 regular online duels to qualify for the bid to Paris. At the end of the month, the top 16players will compete in a Best of 3 single elimination bracket tournament, with a Best of 5 for the semi‐finals and final round. Overall winner wins a bid to the World Championship in Paris

[Online Event] Wildcard Invitational – At the end of the other competition stages, runners up from both online and live events will be invited back to participate in a last‐chance attempt make it to Paris Games Week. Winners from other “unofficial” Road to Paris events at Dreamhack Valence, Italia Championship and Japan Expo will also be invited. 16 invitees will be grouped into groups of 8 and play in a round‐robin tournament. The winner of each group will play each other in a best of 5 series to claim the last bid to Paris.

LIMIT: No other methods of entry will be accepted. Only one entry per email address will be accepted. All Entrants must have an existing and valid Duel of Champions (“DoC”) account and a valid email address at the time the Competition commences. Each qualified entrant can enter each component once; however winners of bids to the Qualifiers may not enter a subsequent Qualifier and/or the Wildcard Invitational. Entry in the Competition does not constitute entry into any other promotion, competition. By participating in the Competition, each Entrant, and Entrant’s parent/legal guardian, if Entrant is less than the age of majority in his/her state of primary residence, (collectively “Entrant” “Participant” “Player” or “You”) unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these official rules and the decisions of Ubisoft Inc., 625 Third Street, San Francisco, CA 94107 (the “Sponsor”), whose decisions shall be final and legally binding in all respects.

5. HOW TO ENTER:

To enter the Competition, please follow the steps below. Specific dates and times subject to change: North American Event Qualifier: KublaCon
Starting on Saturday, May 25th at 10:00 a.m. (local time), see a Duel of Champions representative at
KublaCon to compete in a pre‐qualifier to register

Enter the Competition by:



· Pre‐qualifying rounds will be held on Saturday, May 25th in order to fill out the final 32 person single elimination bracket tournament. Pre‐qualifiers must sign up for a time slot for the first round.
· Pre‐qualifying rounds will be played with a pre‐made deck, players can select from Haven, Necropolis or
Inferno decks
· Winners must register for the 32 player single elimination bracket and have their Uplay/DoC username added to the http://battlefy.com/mightmagicduelofchampions bracket set up for the tournament

All completed entries to participate in the KublaCon qualifier must be received by 6:00 pm (local time) on May 25th, 2013. Once an entry is made Entrant cannot access/revise entry in any way. If Player(s) are not on time for the tournament the following day, we reserve the right to replace them with an available Player.

All entries are subject to verification by the Sponsor. Entries that do not meet the requirements specified below or otherwise do not comply with the Official Rules herein may be disqualified. Any attempted form of entry other than as described herein is void. Sponsor, in accordance with the Competition rules and regulations, will determine in its sole discretion, what constitutes a valid entry.

North American Event Qualifier: Origins

Starting on Thursday, June 13th at 10:00 a.m. (local time), see a Duel of Champions representative at
Origins to compete in a pre‐qualifier to register

Enter the Competition by:

· Pre‐qualifying rounds will be held prior to Saturday, June 15th in order to fill out the final 32 person single elimination bracket tournament. Pre‐qualifiers must sign up for a time slot for the first round.
· Pre‐qualifying rounds will be played with a pre‐made deck, players can select from Haven, Necropolis or
Inferno decks
· Winners must register for the 32 player single elimination bracket and have their Uplay/DoC username added to the online viewable bracket set up for the tournament

All completed entries to participate in the Origins qualifier must be received by 6:00 pm (local time) on June 14th, 2013. Once an entry is made Entrant cannot access/revise entry in any way. If Player(s) do not show up for the tournament the following day, we reserve the right to replace them with another available Player.

All entries are subject to verification by the Sponsor. Entries that do not meet the requirements specified below or otherwise do not comply with the Official Rules herein may be disqualified. Any attempted form of entry other than as described herein is void. Sponsor, in accordance with the Competition rules and regulations, will determine in its sole discretion, what constitutes a valid entry.

North American Event Qualifier: Gen Con

Starting on Friday, August 16, at 10:00 a.m. (local time), see a Duel of Champions representative at Gen Con to compete in a pre‐qualifier to register. Alternatively, reserve a pre‐qualifier spot on the forums located at http://forums.ubi.com/forumdisplay.php/475‐Road‐to‐Paris‐

Enter the Competition by:

· Pre‐qualifying rounds will be held prior to Saturday, August 17, 2013 in order to fill out the final 32 person single elimination bracket tournament. Pre‐qualifiers must sign up for a time slot for the first round.


· Pre‐qualifying rounds will be played with a pre‐made deck, players can select from Haven, Necropolis or
Inferno decks
· Winners must register for the 32 player single elimination bracket and have their Uplay/DoC username added to the online viewable bracket set up for the tournament

All completed entries to participate in the Gen Con qualifier must be received by 6:00 pm (local time) on August 16th, 2013. Once entry is made Entrant cannot access/revise entry in any way. If Player(s) are not on time for the tournament the following day, we reserve the right to replace them with an available Player.

All entries are subject to verification by the Sponsor. Entries that do not meet the requirements specified below or otherwise do not comply with the Official Rules herein may be disqualified. Any attempted form of entry other than as described herein is void. North American Event Qualifier: Fan Expo Canada

Online Qualifiers: July and August Online qualifiers

To enter the Competition, please follow all steps below:

Starting on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013, Duel of Champions players can register for the online qualifiers at the road2paris.com website


Enter the Competition by:
- Going to the road2paris.com website and following the registration process. Players will register with
the Uplay account connected to their DoC account

To participate, players must meet the following requirements:

- Have a minimum 1100 ELO at the time of registration
- Reside in one of the following countries: United States, England, Spain, Italy, Germany, France,
Poland, Canada, Hungary, China, Australia, Russia, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark

All completed entries must be received by 5:00pm PT on August 31, 2013. Once entry is made Entrant cannot access/revise entry in any way. If Player(s) are not on time for the tournament the following day, we reserve the right to replace them with an available Player.

All entries are subject to verification by the Sponsor. Entries that do not meet the requirements specified below or otherwise do not comply with the Official Rules herein may be disqualified. Any attempted form of entry other than as described herein is void. Sponsor, in accordance with the Competition rules and regulations, will determine in its sole discretion, what constitutes a valid entry.

Online Events: Wildcard Tournament

Competition is not open for registration other than through the means below. Spots in the Wildcard
Tournament will be awarded to:

· 2nd Place Dreamhack
· 2nd Place GamesCom
· 2nd Place North American Live
· 2nd Place PAX Australia
· DreamHack Valence Winner (Spain)
· Italia Championship Winner (Italy)
· 1st and 2nd place at Japan Expo (Paris)
· Top 4 players from the July leaderboard (excluding July winner)
· Top 4 players from the August leaderboard (excluding August winner)

Road to Paris Finals: Paris Games Week

Competition is not open for registration. Participants will be invited based on winning aforementioned competitions.

6. Competition Rules

During the Competition, Ubisoft may, at its own discretion warn, disqualify or ban any Entrant, without prejudice for the Entrant, that notably (without limitation):
o Registers to the Competition with multiple accounts;
o Colludes with other Entrants to create an unfair advantage in any tournament;
o Uses any kind of cheats or hack;
o Does not comply in full with the current Rules;
o Has a behavior which, in Sponsor’s estimation, is unlawful, harmful, abusive, harassing,
threatening, malicious, defamatory, libelous, untruthful, pornographic, pedophilic, obscene,
vulgar, racist, xenophobic, liable to incite hatred, sexually explicit, violent, contrary to morality or
is in any other way unacceptable.



Game codes are non‐transferable. They must be entered on the spot to the Players’ accounts.

Players may not use purchased booster packs during the Competition. Players may use earned booster packs. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who is found to be acting in violation of these Official Rules.

Players will be allowed to use their own decks in all components unless stated specifically otherwise. Live tournament rules regarding verification of duel results and player replacements will follow those of the North American Event Qualifiers unless stated specifically otherwise.

North American Event Qualifiers

Players are not allowed to purchase any additional cards, boosters or boxes during the Competition. FIRST ROUND
· Once the player has reached the 32 player tournament bracket, they will play with their own DoC usernames and decks. Other than as stated herein, there are no limitations on what kind of decks they can use from their own collections
· If a Player does not show up for their scheduled 1st round, they will be replaced by another Player.
· Upon completion of the first round, Players must show a DoC rep their screen and the result will be cataloged in the bracket, and the winning Player will be given a time to come back for their next round.

POST‐FIRST ROUND

· After the first round, all matchups are best of 3. At the end of each round, at least one player must show a
DoC rep the result of the game and it will be recorded in the bracket.
· Players are given 20 minutes of leeway to their round time. If a player does not show up within the 20 minute window they will be disqualified and their opponent advances automatically.
· In the event that a player fails to show up for the final round, the runner up from the previous round will take their place.
· Players will be able to adjust their decks between rounds, but not during a round. FINAL ROUND
· In the final round each Player’s screens will be broadcast on two monitors in the tournament areas.
Players will have their backs facing the monitors, and if one is judged to have turned around and looked at any point, they will be disqualified for that game and a win will go to their opponent.
· The winner of the final round will be registered to compete in an online tournament in September, against other US live tournament winners for a bid to go to Paris. Should this Player not respond to later communications from DoC reps within seven (7) days, the spot in that September online tournament will go to the runner up, and then descending down the list as needed.
· Final round will be best of 5.


North American Event Finals

The winners of the North American qualifying events at KublaCon, Origins, Gen Con and Fan Expo will compete against each other online to earn the North American Live Champion bid to Paris Games week.


Other than as stated herein, Players will be able to use their own accounts. They can edit decks between series but not between games in the series.

Players are not allowed to purchase any additional cards, boosters or boxes during the Competition.

At this time, spectator mode will be available in the game. DoC community reps will referee the matches and record the scores. In the case spectator mode is unavailable, results must be submitted by screenshots to DoC community reps.

FIRST ROUND

· In the first round, players will compete in a Round Robin tournament against each other. Each pairing will be a best of 3.
· Points will be awarded per‐series, but in the case of a tie the individual series records will be used as a tie breaker. If there is still a tie, a 1 game sudden death will be played to determine the winner.

SECOND ROUND

· The top 2 players from the Round Robin will face each other in the second round in a best of 5 matchup.
The winner of this matchup will earn the North American Live Champion bid for Paris Games Week

PAX Australia

Players are not allowed to purchase any additional cards, boosters or boxes during the Competition.


FIRST ROUND

· Once a Player has reached the 16 player tournament bracket, the Player will play with his/her own DoC usernames and decks. Other than as described herein, there are no limitations on what kind of decks they can use from their own collections.
· If the Player does not show up for their scheduled 1st round, they will be replaced by another Player.
· Upon completion of the game, at least one player must show a DoC rep their screen and the result will be cataloged in the bracket, and the winning player will be given a time to come back for their next round

POST‐FIRST ROUND

· After the first round, all matchups are best of 3. At the end of each game, at least one player must show a
DoC rep the result of the game and it will be recorded in the bracket

communications from DoC reps within seven days, the spot in the September tournament will go to the runner up, and then descending down the list as needed.
· Final round will be best of 5.

European Qualifiers

Players (as defined below) are not allowed to purchase any additional cards, boosters or boxes during the
Competition.

FIRST ROUND

· If the Entrant (the “player”) does not show up for their scheduled match, he/she will be disqualified and can be replaced by an interested party of Ubisoft’s choosing at that time
· Participating in the first round is an agreement to continue playing for the rest of the day as needed
· All matchups are Best of 3. At the end of each game, at least one player must show a Duel of
Champions rep the result of the game and it will be recorded in the Battlefy.com bracket
· In the event that a player fails to show up for the final round, the runner up from the previous round will take their place
· Players will be able to adjust their decks during a round

FINAL MATCH

· The final match will be played as a best of 5 matches.
· The winner of the final round will be rewarded a spot to go to Paris. Should this player not respond to later communications from Duel of Champions representative within a reasonable amount of time, the
spot in that tournament will go to the runner up, and then descending down the list as needed.


Online Qualifiers

LEADERBOARD STAGE
July Online Qualifier ‐ July 1‐ July 31 2013
August Online Qualifier ‐ August 1‐ August 31 2013

· There are 2 online qualifiers, one held in July and one in August. Registered players will be ranked according to their win percentage during regular online duels. Matches played in tournaments, practice mode, or any other mode other than regular duels will not be counted.
· Players must complete at least 50 duels over the course of the competition month in order to qualify for the Top 16 on the leaderboard.
· Tiebreakers on the leaderboard will be broken according to the player who has played the highest total number of matches. If this does not break the tie, there will be a sudden death, 1 game matchup between tied players.
· At the end of each month, the Top 16 on the leaderboard will proceed to the playoff stage.
· The Top 4 on the leaderboard at the end of the month will automatically be invited to the Wildcard Tournament regardless of performance in the playoff. If one of the players in the Top 4 wins the playoff stage, the Wildcard invite will move to the 5th place player
· The winner of the individual online qualifier and the 4 players invited to the Wildcard Tournament will not be able to participate in the following month’s qualifier if there is one

PLAYOFF STAGE

July Online Qualifier: August 1 – August 7 2013


August Online Qualifier: September 1‐ September 7 2013

Players are not allowed to purchase any additional cards, boosters or boxes during the Competition.

· The Playoff round will consistent of a 16 player single elimination bracket tournament. Players will be seeded according to traditional seeding rules based on their place in the leaderboard.
· Players will be able to edit their decks between rounds of the tournament, but not between individual games.
· Participants are then paired up for the first set of duels: they have to contact each other and find a suitable time for their duel together, within the timeframe set by a community manager If a suitable timeframe cannot be found, they need to send an email to the specified email account.
o All matches (except semi‐finals and finals) will be played in best of 3 duels.
o The semi‐finals and finals will be played in best of 5 duels.
· After the duel, the winner must send screenshots of the victories to the specified email account to
validate the victories.
· In case one player fails to join the game at the specified time, the other player must take a screenshot of the game open at that time, send it to the specified email account and he will be declared victor.
· In the case that spectator mode is available, games can be supervised by DoC community staff and results recorded by the member of the community team.

Wildcard Tournament

· Invitees will be prior to Wildcard tournament to confirm their participation. They will have 7 days to respond, and be issued a follow‐up 3 days before the cutoff. If they do not respond within that time, the invite will be sent to the next runner up in the corresponding tournament.
If the Players do not show up for their matches in the Swiss tournaments, an automatic win will be given
to their opponent of that round.
· Online qualifier invites will be sent based on Player rankings on the leaderboard ‐ not their performance in the playoff. They will be sent to the top 4 Players on the leaderboard for that month, minus the winner of
the playoff ‐ should that person also happen to be in the Top 4 of the Regular Season.
· There will be 2 separate Swiss tournaments of 8 players each, with each round of the Swiss tournament consisting of 3 duels. The win/loss for each round will be used in case of a tiebreaker.
· The winner of each Swiss tournament will face off against the other in a best of 7 matchup to determine the Wildcard winner.
Wildcard invites will be seeded randomly, with adjustments to ensure that each Swiss tournament has an
even number of live/online champions.
As spectator mode will be available at this time, all matches will be streamed and/or viewed by Duel of
Champions staff to verify win/loss.

World Championship Finals – Paris Games Week

ROUND ROBIN STAGE

· The 8 finalists will compete in a round robin tournament, each matchup will be a best of 3 (matchup win‐
loss will be used as a tiebreaker if necessary).
· The top 4 players at the end of the round robin stage will move on to the next day.
· Players are to use their own decks and accounts during the first day and are allowed to switch around decks and cards between matches.

SEMI FINALS AND FINALS


· The remaining 4 players will compete in a single elimination bracket tournament on the second day of competition. Semi‐finals will be a best of 5 and final round will be best of 7.

· The second day (finals and semi) Players will be given 4 accounts with all the cards and have to create the decks they want to use before starting duels. Once the duels have started, Players can switch up between their premade decks but can't change the cards inside those decks.

Accommodations for Road to Paris bid winners:

To occur October 30th‐November3rd 2013, one (1) round‐trip coach class air transportation for Winner from a major commercial airport near Winner’s home (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) to Paris and 4 nights’ accommodation at a hotel in Paris (nights of October 30th‐November 2nd, 2013, standard hotel accommodation: one room, single or double occupancy, room and tax only). Specific
travel dates to be selected at Sponsor’s sole discretion. The choice of flight and hotel accommodations composing this Prize shall be decided by Sponsor at Sponsor’s sole discretion (up to USD $4,000 ERV including taxes and fees).

Ground transportation will be provided to the grand Prize Winner in lieu of air transportation if the Winner lives within a 100 mile radius of Paris. The Prize does not include any out of pocket expenses, extras, catering expenses, transportation costs to and from the airport and/or to and from the Winner’s home or hotel, transportation costs during October 30th‐ November 3rd, all of which shall be exclusively
borne by the Winner.


Travel must occur on the above dates or Prize will be forfeited in its entirety without any further obligation to the Winner and may be awarded to an alternate winner, subject to time restrictions. Travel restrictions, conditions and limitations may apply. ERV of Prize may vary depending on point of departure, travel dates, ground transportation, and/or airline fare fluctuations. All elements of the Prize must be redeemed at the same time and no changes will be permitted after confirmation of any redemption.

Winner must possess valid United States government‐approved travel documents and be willing to sign any other legal documents required by Sponsor. Sponsor and Competition Entities are not responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions or substitutions, or any act or omission whatsoever with respect to the Prize. All air travel taxes and/or expenses, including applicable departure taxes or fees, inspection charges and security charges, insurance, meals, unspecified ground transportation, taxes, gratuities, travel insurance, bag check fees, parking fees, laundry service, food, alcoholic beverages, incidentals (including mini‐bar), phone charges, merchandise, souvenirs, gasoline and other expenses not specifically identified in these Official Rules are solely the responsibility of the Winner. Winner must comply with all airline and hotel check‐in requirements, including, but not limited to, the presentation of a major credit card. Unused components of the Prize have no redeemable cash value. All airline tickets issued in connection with the Prize are not eligible for frequent flyer miles, stopovers, upgrades and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer. No changes will be made to travel details once any element(s) of the travel arrangements have been booked, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Lost or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates or similar items, once they are in Winner’s possession, will not be replaced. 8. WINNER NOTIFICATION: Winners will be notified upon completion of the corresponding tournament.
Prize codes will be entered in the game client on the player’s behalf. Sponsor shall have no liability for
any potential Prize winner notification that is lost, intercepted or not received by any potential Prize winner for any reason, In the event the Winner is a minor, his or her parent or legal guardian must sign and return the documents described herein as necessary to claim a Prize, on behalf of the winning minor

In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the e‐mail account specified in the entry or. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e‐mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e‐mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e‐mail address.

9. ENTRANT REPRESENTATIONS, WARRANTIES AND INDEMNIFICATION: Entrant represents and warrants to Sponsor that his/her entry is (i) completely the original work of the Entrant and was written or filmed solely by the Entrant, (ii) not copied from any other source or previously broadcast or otherwise distributed or disseminated in any media or format, (iii) not in the public domain, and (iv) not in violation of or conflict with the trademark, copyright, rights of privacy, rights of publicity or any other rights, of any kind or nature, of any other person or entity. Sponsor, the Competition Entities and any third parties associated or affiliated with the development and execution of this Competition are not responsible for problems downloading or uploading of any Competition‐related information to or from the web site or for any other technical malfunctions of electronic equipment, computer on‐line systems, servers, or providers, computer hardware or software failures, phone lines, failure of any electronic mail entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, traffic, congestion on the internet or the web site, or any other technical problems related to web site entries including telecommunication miscommunication or failure, and failed, lost, delayed, incomplete, garbled or misdirected communications which may limit an entrant’s ability to participate in this Competition.

PUBLICITY RELEASE/ ASSIGNMENT OF RIGHTS: Acceptance of any Prize constitutes Prize winner’s permission for the Entities and use Prize winner’s entry materials, including video, name, photograph, likeness, voice, biographical information, statements and complete address (collectively, the "Attributes"), for advertising and/or publicity purposes worldwide and in all forms of media now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity, without further compensation or authorization, and releases the Competition Entities from all claims arising out of the use of such Attributes.

All materials submitted to Sponsor shall become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged. As consideration for entering and participating in the Competition, Entrant agrees that Entrant shall relinquish any and all rights to the materials that Entrant submits. Submission of an entry grants the Sponsor and its agents the right to record, copy, publish, use, edit, exhibit, distribute, perform, merchandise, license, sublicense, adapt and/or modify such entry in any way, in any and all media, without limitation and without any compensation to the Entrant. By entering the Competition, Entrant is automatically registered as a member of the Sponsor's web site www.ubi.co (http://www.ubi.com/)m. As a result, Entrant may receive additional e‐mail communication/promotions from the Sponsor as any of their members would. 13. ENTRANT'S PERSONAL INFORMATION: Participation in the Competition implies acknowledgment of the storage of personal data in the United States for purposes of administration of the Competition. The recipient of your personal data is Sponsor and Sponsor’s Affiliates. Entrants have the right to access, withdraw, and correct their personal data. Entrants may request such action by sending a message with the request, subject line "Duel of Champions: Road to Paris Tournament," to (straight@ubisoft.com) chase.straight@ubisoft.com.

14. DISQUALIFICATION: Entrant agrees that Entrant shall not submit an Entry that contains (i) disparaging or obscene language, photographs or film (ii) nudity (iii) trademarks, copyrights and/or logos not belonging to Entrant and/or (iv) language, photos or film that is injurious to a third party and/or may damage a third party’s reputation. Entrant acknowledges that Sponsor expressly conditions its acceptance of Entrant’s submission on Entrant’s agreement of the preceding sentence, and if it is discovered that Entrant has violated such agreement, Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify Entrant’s submission.


Entries made on another’s behalf by any other individuals or any other entity, including but not limited to commercial Competition subscription notification and/or entering services, will be declared invalid and disqualified for this Competition. Any entries deemed by Sponsor, in its sole discretion, to have been submitted in this manner will be void. In the event a dispute regarding the identity of the individual who actually submitted an entry cannot be resolved to Sponsor’s satisfaction, the affected entry will be deemed ineligible

Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who is found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Competition, to be acting in violation of these Official Rules, or to be acting in an unsportsman‐like or disruptive manner, or with the intent to disrupt or undermine the legitimate operation of the Competition, or to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, and Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. No incomplete, forged, software‐generated or other automated multiple entries will be accepted.

15. CANCELLATION: Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Competition if fraud or technical failures destroy the integrity of the Competition as determined by the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, and to award the Prizes based on eligible entries received prior to the cancellation.

16. DISPUTES: Except where prohibited, Entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Competition or any Prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and that by participating in the Competition, Entrant agrees that Los Angeles, CA will be the exclusive forum for any formal dispute resolution; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out‐of‐pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Competition, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) unless otherwise prohibited, under no circumstances will Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and Entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out‐of‐pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the Entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Competition shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the United States and the State of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the state of California or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the state of California. For Residents of Quebec Only: Any litigation respecting the conduct of organizing a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a Prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement. For Residents of Germany only: This limitation to venue and the amount of damages does not apply if not permitted by law.

A Winners List link will be available at road2paris.com and posted during the event. 18. ADDITIONAL TERMS:

The use of any Prize manufacturer or venue, name or trademark in connection with any of the Prizes is solely for the purpose of describing such Prize, and is not intended to suggest any affiliation or sponsorship.

The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or


otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
