We already have two creatures who does something along the lines - both are sanctuarium (Naga Tactician and Unmei-Kami). So, how about extending this ability to all factions? All of them get their own theme...

For example:

Necropolis:
Cost: 2 , 1 Might, 2 Magic
Magic Shooter
Attack 3
Retaliation 0
Health 2
when * deals damage to an enemy hero, return target creature card from your graveyard to your hand

This one is a minor threat, since he is pretty frail (one firebolt and he is out ...) - yet he can provide a huge advantage if you are able to return a couple of creatures back to your hand...


Inferno:
Cost 3, 3 Might, 2 Magic
Melee
Attack 2
Retaliation 2
Health 3
when * deals damage to an enemy hero, he discards a card from his hand

Being melee, it is harder to defend it. For the same cost, you may get a Juggy, which has overall better stats, yet if you can deal damage to an enemy hero, it poses a powerful advantage. Maybe even too powerful...?


Haven:
Cost 3 , 3 Might, 2 Magic
Magic Shooter
Attack 2
Retaliation 1
Health 4
immune to retaliation
when * deals damage to an enemy hero, heal 2 damage from target creature or from your hero.
A weaker effect, yet a stronger creature in general.


Bastion:
Cost 5 , 5 Might, 1 Magic
Melee
Attack 3
Retaliation 1
Health 6
Enrage 1
when * deals damage to an enemy hero, place an enrage counter on all creatures with enrage you control.
A different from of the Crusher - while not having Magic Resistance, he does get better stats, yet he needs one more to cast
