Oleg I wanted to fly the Spit V in the Kuban useing an historicaly named pilot, Ie, A.I. Ivanov, who flew the Spitfire V operatiionaly with the 57.Gv.IAP.

Problem is 57.GV.IAP is not available in the selection menu.

Ivanov was shotup while attacking Ju 87s by Yaks who mistook the Spitfire for an Me 109. Ivanov, barely made it back to his field.

Interestingly he met the pilot who shot him up, later while touring VVS airfields so VVS pilots and AA personell could learn to recognise the Spitfire.

Regards, John Waters

How can a Sptifire be mistaken for a 109? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/52.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

It would be nice if squadrons/regiments/groups could be added for all the combattants by us, the players. Code security most likely why not.http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Not well at all actualy, it basicly never 'lived up to its reputation' which could very well be because of, use of low grade AV fuel, improper maintance programs etc.

Basicly the Soviets seem to have disliked every LL Fighter shipped to them except the P-39/63.
