View Full Version : Did the P 63 spin like a top?

I'm curious about the P 63 - did it have more forgiving stall / spin characteristics than the P 39? From what I've read on the net, the US used it as a training plane - seems rather cruel to give it to rookie pilots if it spins like the P 39. Also, did they slap a supercharger on it?

Thanks for the article, it makes interesting reading. Shame there was a shortage of turbosuperchargers.

There's a bug in the current version of UBB.x (expecting a patch to fix it hopefully) that causes that message when you try to copy/paste text that includes non-printable formatting characters. You can usually get around it by using the "Quick Reply" button instead of the "Reply" button or by saving the offending text in a text editor that doesn't save formatting characters before trying to paste into the forum.
