What is your opinon about the correctness of the IL2 compare sheet.

I have flown some tests against human oponents in FB version 1.22 and I have flown the Me109G2
against the La5 and the P39 between 2000 and 0 m.

The P39 turned out the Me easily, It should do it but not so easy. My tank was almost empty, the red light was on.

The La5 made a eaven match with the Me, The Me stalled after some turns without gaining much on the La. The Me109G2 should turn out the La5 according to the chart.

I have a feeling that the La5 has some sort of gift from Newton. It dont looses so much energy as the Me109g2. It hangs in the air when the Me yields. The Me got a much better climbrate so I think that it should match the La. The La is 500 kg heavier but got only 200hpr more.
Any explanation to this exept it depends on the pilot.
And in that case give me a hint on how I should do.

The real question is...Take two human pilots with approx same skills ...
Will G2 win turnfight with P-39 or La5... probably not... will it win the fight that it dictates...more likely yes.

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.
