Hopefully Might and Magic X won't have Artifact/Relic caps like Might and Magic 6/7 had, because that was just a pain in the ***. Constantly having to make sure you didn't pick up some crappy Artifact/Relic, just so you didn't lock yourself out of getting a useful Artifact/Relic later on, was a ****ed up system.
Nothing quite like looting the crappy Arthur artifact in M&M6, and because of that you get locked out of looting the awesome Percival bow artifact for your Warrior Mage. Or looting Fists of the Master in M&M7, when you don't even have a Monk, and because of that you can't loot Yoruba for your Black Knight.

Might and Magic 8 did it right. If you hunted Dragons a crap ton, and were persistent (or just gamed the system using the save-loot-reload trick), you could acquire every "unique" Artifact in the game, and with the roster of recruitable NPCs back at the Adventurer's Inn, odds are, you had a character who could use the Artifact you looted.

Agreed. Though I would also add that they should get rid of (or more rather, not include) the ability to save-loot-reload. It was a cheap, broken part of the game, just like double-looting dragons.
