If you look carefully it says in Europe.
So in the US we get it for XBOX and others at the same time.

Yep, it will be ok in the US for all consoles.

"Only a week after it was announced that the Xbox will be the only console to get Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 this year, Ubi Soft has today announced that both Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Beyond Good & Evil will be console exclusives for the PS2 in 2003. Today's announcement only concerns Europe and other PAL territories, and both games are still scheduled for release on the PC and all current console platforms in North America in November."

Here's something all Beyond Good & Evil fans should look. It seems that BG&E will be releasing for the PC in UK/Europe while the Xbox and Gamecube versions will release in 2004. I guess this applies to all PAL regions of BG&E. This is same with Prince of Persia Sands of Time.

The Newb appears in a burst of confusion

So the PC versions of BG&E and PoP:Sands of Time (is that even coming out on PC? I hope so) are out this year along with the cough-Pee Ess Too version?

I want this game but have zero console-o.

Why Europe/PAL only? I'd have believed their statements if it was for the entire Branch, but for PAL only makes no sense. Probably some money $hit again.

If it runs well, I don't mind, but the other two systems will get better effects. Do it right Ubisoft, or just leave the game alone. I got all three systems, so I don't mind, just mind that it runs ok on PS2. I already look forward to the 'framerate' issues in the reviews.

But why not Gamecube? Cube does less in Europe, that console needs a bit of extra support, not PS2, not Xbox, so your arguments are lousy if you ask me.

think about it though, xbox and the cube are going to get the better versions...probably with more stuff...

remember splinter cell? when it came out for ps2 and cube they had added features...

but im from canada, go ubi montreal go, so i get it in november...

and besides, ubi seems to give more online support 2 xbox than it does ps2....which makes sense...ps2 broadband is terrible...

I bet SCEE paid Ubi Soft quite a bit of cash to get all these games (Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Beyond Good & Evil) exclusive for PS2 in Europe. They've been doing the same with some other titles, like I-Ninja from Namco.

I just want to let Ubi Soft know that I don't like business practices like these. I was really looking forward to getting these games for GameCube and Xbox. I'm not going to be forced to buy these games for a vastly inferior platform (PS2).

I won't be buying your games until after the holidays, I guess, when the exclusivity period will hopefully be over. (If that doesn't happen, don't expect me to buy them at all)
