This dev diary will be presenting the various changes to the balance of season 4, except those related to the endgames.

First of all, we’ve been working on magic balance.

Changes are as follows (all values refer to magic points):

- Destruction
o Stalagmites: damage increased from 0.6 to 0.7 per unit
o Fireball: damage reduced from 0.35% to 0.325% of stack strength
o Implosion: damage reduced from 0.45% to 0.4% of stack strength

- Darkness
o Guard Break: defense bonus increased from 0.17 to 0.25
o Scourge: damage increased from 0.15% to 0.2%

- Light
o Word of Light: damage increased from 110 to 160
o Resurrection: power resurrected increased from 0.3% to 0.4% of troops

- Invocation
o Fist of Wrath: damage increased from 0.45 to 0.7 per unit
o Raise the Dead: power resurrected increased from 0.25% to 0.45% of troops lost
o Fire Trap: damage increased from 0.25% to 0.3% of stack strength
o Summon Elementals: power invoked increased from 150 to 200
o Conjure Phoenix: power invoked reduced from 0.27% to 0.22% of enemy troop strength

Next, we have improved certain legacy skills that were not used very often.

The changes are as follows:

Spell Mastery
This ability now works differently. Instead of increasing the effectiveness of spells of a specific level, it now boosts the effects of all spells at or below the specified level.

The new values are as follows:

- Level 1: maximum level 1, 10% bonus
- Level 2: maximum level 2, 10% bonus
- Level 3: maximum level 3, 10% bonus
- Level 4: maximum level 4, 10% bonus
- Level 5: maximum level 5, 10% bonus
- Level 6: maximum level 5, 15% bonus
- Level 7: maximum level 5, 20% bonus
- Level 8: maximum level 5, 25% bonus
- Level 9: maximum level 5, 30% bonus
- Level 10: maximum level 5, 35% bonus

Magic Resistance

The effect has simply been increased.
The effect of enemy spells will be reduced by 4.5% per skill level, with a maximum 45% reduction at level 10.

Morale High

The effect has been increased.
The bonus will be 2% per skill level if the hero and all army units belong to the same faction, with a maximum 20% bonus at level 10.


The effect has been increased.
Cooldown time has been reduced to 6% per level, with a maximum 60% reduction at level 10.

And that’s it for the balancing of spells and legacy abilities.
These changes will be applied to all season 4 PvP, coop, and strategic worlds, both current and future.
