Blackbeard is defintelly going to make an apperance in the game, no question about it

would you like him to be an ally or enemy of Edward? a templar? or an ally of the assassins

I'd rather have him as a mercenary (non assassin or templar) ally/friend of Edward.

Considering Edward Teach died in 1718, I suspect it is more likely he'll be the main antagonist for the game, given his reputation. I doubt he'll be called much besides 'Blackbeard' though, since Edward is the name of the protagonist as well.

He was killed by an unknown person in 1718. I would bet a lot that he is an enemy.

I think he starts as an ally/neutral, but becomes your enemy by the conclusion of the game.

Kind of like Kanehtokon from AC3, but hopefully more developed.

I dont think he'll be an anemy, but perhaps someone Edward(assassin) does not agree with. Making blackbeard an enemy would be fairly cliche.

Well, maybe, but he was an evil, aggressive, fearsome pirate who showed no mercy, killed people by the score and was known as the devil alive...

Also it's a fact that he freed many African slaves ( and some of them were getting a high ranks on his ships) and also he was unselfish and he cared alot about all his people.

judging from the trailer seems like he'll be an ally or at least neutral

Of course he freed African slaves. Because they were cheap labour for his own means.

actually if you read history.. not the butchered hollywood type sh*t.... Blackbeard was actually an honorable pirate (as honorable you can get as a pirate) but he wasn't some mass, evil, aggressive murderer like he is always portrayed as

Edward Teach? He was killed in battle near Ocracoke NC. Ever hear of how it took multiple gunshots and swords to kill him? hence the "they cut off his head and his headless body swam around the ship"

I'm pretty sure he was known to kill memebers of his crew. Obviously other captains did this, but i think he was a bit less strict on the reasons he'd kill them.

Though, the guy was a total bad ***. He ended up married and living quite well off in England, But decided to run away because that life was boring.
