Even with 6 GB GHz 7970 (and latest Catalyst and Ignition drivers), AC3 remains unplayable, with 5-25 fps performance (average around 10). This terrible performance changes little when changing in-game graphics settings, including resolution (1080p, 720p, and so on) and environment variables.
Ignition works flawlessly with ALL Assassin Creed games prior to AC3 (pre-DX11). In fact, they offer some of Ignition's most memorable 3D rendered environments. Ignition also works very well with other DX11 games like Max Payne 3 and Crysis 3.
Since AC3 appears to be CPU bound, rather than GPU bound, why aren't more cores used by AC3, if a host CPU has them? I have a very underutilized 6-core Xeon CPU.
I have stopped playing the game because of this poor 3D performance (and buying DLC).
