Are there any servers running one? I dont think there is. I would love to be wrong tho.

The way me & my buds do it is by ip#'s so we just hook up & fly them that way. One of us is the host & the others all fly on his machine.

The 'online campaigns' are the online wars.

ie. VEF, etc.

There is no such thing as an online campaign, that is consistent, with squadrons using designated aircraft, flying from designated fields, etc.

This is what we are working on accomplishing with SCORCHED EARTH, but as you can imagine, creating an online campaign where every single aircraft, tank etc. is monitored, as well as supply and replacement systems, all done to historically accurate standards, is quite a task.

There are online campaigns but you need the AEP addon to play them. Look in Hyperlobby and you may find some hosts who are running such a campaign.

The online campaigns are basically a string of coop missions. The frontline moves and losses have an effect on the strength of each side. It's not as complex as the Scorched Earth system that Buzzsaw described. The campaigns are generated by NGEN (built in the game) or with DCG (a third party utility, http://www.lowengrin.com )

And to answer your question:
Online campaigns are like coops: you cannot join once the game is in progress.

Undercarriage lever a bit sticky was it, Sir?

Of course there are online campaigns mate! As YOU probably know, NGen was released with AEP that allows for online campaigns. Basically co-op that continues automatically (more to it then that I know guys).

There is also a newer version that has been released that allows for more options. A beta release maybe of BOE stuff? Not sure about that one.

In addition to other stuff, our squad has started playing them. You or anyone can host one. The question is will you get enough folks together and COOPERATIVE in flying to the target zone and carrying out the missions? If you host also consider hosting a comms program to encourage team play.

Sorry for the misspelling - COOPERATE
