Hello dear duelists,

Tomorrow we have scheduled a maintenance at 4 pm (Paris Time) to correct the Emilio’s Pack Foil bug (no foil cards delivered).

It should take around 30 minutes.

We know precisely who purchased what, and we will reward all the impacted players with the following :

• 1 pack of 4 premium cards to everybody who bought 3 Emilio’s pack or more

• 2 packs of 4 premium cards to everybody who bought 20 Emilio’s packs or more

• 3 packs of 4 premium cards to everybody who bought 40 Emilio’s pack or more

Please note that only the Foil aspect of the Emilio’s Pack randomness was impacted by this bug.

If you experience any other problem regarding this issue, please contact our customer support (http://ubisoft.custhelp.com/app/ask/rnv/10).

We apologize for that, thanks for your understanding and thanks for reporting the issue

Wow, that response is quick! Nicely done, DoC team!

Hmm, I think I bought 3 Emilio's... Good, now I guess everyone's hoping for as much Void Rising foils as possible... That Phrias needs to be collected :D

Same, I just hope that was 3 or 4, not 2 :p.

And what about people who bought much more than 40 Emilio's packs ? It would be not fair if they would get the same amount of premium cards as someone who bought only around 40 packs....

For example: I bought around 220-250 Emilio's packs (don't know the exact number) - so it is like 6 times more than 40 Emilio's packs. In this case I should get 6 times x (3 packs of 4 premium cards to everybody).

A person who bought 120 Emilio's should get 3 x (3 packs of 4 premium cards to everybody) and so on...

I won' agree for compensating people who bought much more packs with the same amount of premium cards as people who bought much less of them.. That's simply unfair and it discourage us from buying more.

I totally agree with Carnage. I have bought a huge amount of Emilios too. Should I file a ticket separately to receive a proper number of foils?

Don't take me wrong, this step is as much appreciated as it's needed, but ..

That one word there doesn't really go together with the rest of the message...

If you know the exact details, why won't you refund each player individually? Is it that much of a problem? =s

As others pointed out it's hardly fair towards the core community/regular Duelists who did not get discouraged by the bug and trusted in fairness of devs to fix things adequately in due time?

Exactly this.

EDIT: I've bought between 200 and 300 Emilio packs. With a 1 in 6 chance to get a Premium card, I should have gotten approximatly 34-50 Premium cards, which is about 10x the offered pack. Sounds reasonable/fair to me.

well i think there is more to consider here.

First of all, you´ll get more cards, normally you should remove one card of the same rarity of every 6 Boosters out of your Set. This way you´ll get more cards and have the chance of a Rare foil Card. This means that one Booster may have provided 13 Cards (of which 2 of them were rare). I think this is completly fair (but the less booster you bought, the better is the deal).

It stops to get unfair at 60 Boosters I guess.

Why not adding a Pack of premiums for every 20 Boosters bought up to no limit?

Greetings

I don't know how many Emilio's Pack I bought, but at least 2 Void Boxes and I have only 1 foil (I don't know where came it from). Is it normal? Or the bug is also in Void Boxes?

The main question is: Are Emilio packs fixed now? Can we buy and get premiums with them now?

psychobabble.

+1 to what uraxor said...if you say you KNOW PRECISELEY who bought what why not reward each player individually???

Dudes, I've just bought Emilio's pack and got 12 Base Set cards. Is that a "one of a million" case of really bad luck or just another bug? :D

Psycho, I understood that they only give us a compensation :) It's good that I was wrong. But Bazaltovy stated us anothe interesting matter :D (see above). I'm afraid to buy Emilio's even more now :)

It is not a million chance, actually the probability is 1/(2^12) therefore 1 in 4096 chance *grats*

Got 3 void foils out of 12 cards.

Got 3 void foils out of 12 cards.

I got the same and someone else I know too. So I highly suspect that there is 1 VR Premium and 3 base set Premiums in each of the 4-card-packs.

Bear in mind that I wrote it down in quotation marks, so you shouldn't have taken this literally. :D But if you really do... the probability is shown by this equation:

(224*223*222*221*220*219*218*217*216*215*214*213)/(329*328*327*326*325*324*323*322*321*320*319*318)

It's approx. 0,0090068321033012, or - to put it simply - 0,9%, or - to put it in a different way - 1 in 111 :) Still, it sucks that there's 1 in 111 chance of buying a reinforcement pack while buying an Emilio's. :)

EDIT:

Count me in as well, got 3 Base Set and 1 VR in my foil recompensate pack.

In order to to be fully compensated you all have to claim a ticket in which you explain how many more than 40 Emilio's you have bought. They will check it in their system and if you bought for example around 80 Emilio's you will get 6 packs of 4 Foil cards, if you bought around 240 Emilio's you will get 18 packs of 4 foil cards and so on...

I claimed a ticket 2 days ago and yesterday I got all my premium packs - I am fully satisfied with this compensation.

As for the premium packs - they consists of 1 VR premium (either uncommon or rare) and 3 Base Set premiums (either uncommons or rares). There are no Epics in those packs.

I was assuming that we have 50-50 chance to get either VR or basic set, not by pure chance determined by pool of cards in each pack

Bazaltovy

02-15-2013, 12:05 AM

Well, than we both are wrong, because we also must account the rarity of the cards.

Please, don't force me to write a new equation :<
