The view will be fine. Consider it's a tail dragger sitting on the deck and you are looking into the cowling. Flying straight and level will do the trick. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

In fact, the view may turn out to be best one in the entire game. Now back to Leadspitter's question: Luthier, are the canopies going to slide open in PF???? Where are the overhead supports then? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

This is the kind of immersion that makes a SIM: When it's time to bail, I want to slide open the canopy myself and then bail into a first person view for the trip down with pan view still enabled. Not that I get shot down often or like it, but these kinds of things are the goodies.

Yep. You'll have it, but likely not before Pacific Fighters.

its for PF I dont think it will ever be in FB, unless luthier takes all the planes and maps from fb/aep and puts them into the slightly tweaked PF engine. I dont think that will happen seeing luthiers modeling opening canopies.

Yeah its too bad it won't be in FB. I think it would make the ULTIMATE matchup. Being able to pit it up against its contemporaries of the East like the Spits, bf109s, Yaks and Migs. Bummer. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Are you misunderstanding me?
I realise that the Corsair in that pic is a work in progress, and that what we see there is not the final product, but are you just telling me to stop worrying about the gunsight (I was joking), or do you really think that the angle of the plane sitting on the deck has anything to do with the sight picture? Because that's nuts, does your gunsight picture change in FB when you are on the ground? Mine doesn't. How does the angle the fuselage is at change the pilot's view of anything but the scenery? How does it change how the pilot sees his own plane? It can't. It doesn't change the angle of the seat or the seat height. Please tell me you were kidding...

Pacific Fighters is going to be the real deal. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Personally, I am looking forward to the Cats even more, but I will no doubt be logging some hours in the Corsair as well.

I think you are the one who is misunderstanding him. It appears to me that he isn't even talking about the gunsight, but the view over the nose.

My thoughts too....and pitching the nose down isn't going to improve it.
