View Full Version : How do you think the Templars would react to AC3's ending? (SPOILERS)

Do you think they would support Juno, or oppose her? Maybe even ally with the Assassins to try and bring her down? Or something else?

Arguments FOR

-- Juno will presumably be a single dictator over humanity, establishing the "order" the Templars seek
-- Very few people would rebel against a being with god-like powers, putting an end to wars

Arguments AGAINST

-- It's quite possible Juno could be a malevolent dictator; perhaps she enjoys toying with human lives or creating suffering...
-- The top-level Templars may be like Rodrigo: after power, not principle. They don't care about creating order, only about making themselves in charge.

What do you think? I'm tending to lean towards them supporting her, but I don't really know.

I highly doubt they'd go along with her, because although they seek order, they also want to safeguard the well-being of humanity. Juno doesn't really give a crap about humans, she just wants them for a slave labor force. If they genuinely recognized the threat posed by Juno, there could possibly even be some collaboration between Assassins and Templars to overthrow her.

This is a very good thread. Thank you!
I guess we can't be sure because we don't know the nature of Juno and her rule nor the honesty of the Templar's claim.

The Templar's claim that they want to control mankind and reach a level of peace but are they serious about this? or this is just a cover up for their desire to gain control and that's it? Does Juno really want to enslave over 6,000,000,000 people? is she planning on being the only member of TWCB who exists in this time or she wants to clone/bring her people here as well and people serve them? does one person really need that many workers/servants and what for? or she's gonna make the world a better place using her control and domination?

If the Templars want control to bring peace in the end then they'd join her if she had the intentions of bringing peace by control and force yet if their goal was to dominate then whatever her intentions are, they will oppose her because they want to be the rulers not her. However, if she wanted a to ruin the human life and the Templar's really want what's good for mankind only by control not free will, then they will oppose her because she's not fulfilling their aim of the good of mankind.

I think it would be epic if The Assassins and The Templars would join forces. They'd realize that they're both human and that there's something non-human out there trying to steal humanity away from them so they must stand together. Maybe the Templars will learn how it feels to live without freedom and decide to join The Assassins.

The Templars wanted to enslave humanity and control it as Juno. So its not impossible they to join her.

For the thousandth time, the Templars don't go around "Oh you want to control the world ? Let us join you". The Templar leaders loathed TWCB. Evident by their files and dossiers where they said "We`ll have what should`v been ours since our creation" Juno does not want Purpose. she does not want direction. she does not want Progress. The Templars work to DIRECT the human race towards Progress. even Haytham says it in regards to Washington taking control of the Continental army. He only hated this situation because GW was not a Templar. He did not share their plans and Ideology.

How the Templars react ? "DESMOND YOU FOOL !! WHAT`V YOU DONE ??"

Juno hates the human race. In her eyes, humans are nothing but stupid, disgusting animals. She blames humans for the death of her father, the war, even the whole catastrophe 75 000 years ago.
Now how likely is that she'll treat humans, and thus also the Templars, in a nice way?

Templars want to protect humans, not destroy them.
