When u-boat leaves the harbour for a long patrol, do you think that lovely paintwork will stay in top prime?, erm no.

Lets have the u-boat age over time, so it wont look like the same U-boat which left the harbour say a few months before, especially if you have taken combat damage.

Here is very good example picture of U-805 on it's way to portsmouth to surrender, you can see how the paintwork has aged, along with rusty patches. I hope the dev team will look at this picture and take this into consideration.

That looks really kool. Thanks for the link too i saved that one. THankyou for keeping us up to date with these kewl sites. Yes I would like to see a weathered look to my uboat. I think there will be battle damage seen on our Uboat textures though. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

....and as the Uboat Commanders Handbook instructs, you should be able to order your crew to give the boat a touchup paintjob while at sea.

This is a report from U-66 about it's colour.

Dark gray streaks alternating with lighter streaks. This effect lasted only 3 or 4 weeks due to the poor quality of the paint. Below water-line, dark gray.
