ok use firewall to disable internet connection ...after uplay ask if you want to go offline!!! ...

That's how you run offline mode?! That's unintuitive and lazy as hell... Because it's so friggin hard to just have a drop down or button saying "Offline Mode"

Update: You can also click your name in the top right corner and select "offline mode"

Well, I have 1 hour before I have to go to work. I thought I would play 45 minutes of Far Cry 3. Thanks Ubisoft: your paranoia over unauthorized usage is so effective that even legitimate customers can't play. Far Cry 3 is an awesome game, don't get me wrong, however: whenever I'm posting about it gushingly on Facebook and other forums I make sure to add "BUT" with a tale of idiocy after that.

Hope Uplay is up soon, having it as a requirement for single player ruined my time before work.

Edit: it's back up. I still feel as above however.

I click my name, click offline mode.. back to games and its greyed out... way to go!

And here I was, thinking there was a problem with my PC or connection !!!

Someone mentioned it is due to maintenance !? So much for communication ! I mean now a day we are forced to install useless c*%& that bring no desired, or even undesired, value but only tries to sell us more stuff and harass us with targeted adds (someone said disguised add-ware?) that take us hostage just so that we can play the game that we targeted from the shelves in the store ... not to mention that more often than not we cannot even play in single-player mode without having an internet connection...and all of that in the name of security and anti-piracy (and guess what, it does not even work), this is hypocrisy.

So now I am forced having to connect and go through UPray in order to play my game and this useless interface cannot even tell me when there is a planned maintenance ??? ...guess this makes my point above ... SAD !

Anyhow, do we know how long that maintenance is planned to be for ?

Is it also OK for online multi ?

Because UPlay seems to be OK but not FC3 servers...

I get a message on top of my screen that my account has been played with from another location. Huh? I only play on my pc. I am worried. Anyone else with this message? I post this here because I can't play singleplayer also (no connection possible with uplay).

Yup Sjokolata, same msg here ... I figured that was because I just registered with my same account here on the forum. But I have no idea really.

Got the same, i think it was because of the "lag" period...you tried to connect during it and it keeped a ghost of your connection...

I have the same problem as you guys do, and now when I can play al the stuff Ive saved is lost....

Hmm did you log out and back in? That solved it for me. I can now play again and with the right save. I hope you too.
