I have AC3 for 360 but I kind of want to switch to PC. I've looked over the recommended specs on the Steam page and I think I could, but I wanted to post it on here to get the opinions of people who have played it now that it's out.

Here are my specs:

OS: Windows 7 Professional
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T ~2.8GHz
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5830 2GB memory
4GB RAM

Like I said, I think my computer could handle it, especially if I overclocked the processor, but I know there are people out there who can gauge better than I can.

I have the same CPU, a AMD 6870 and 8 GB of RAM, i get about 5 FPS most of the time. Completely unplayable and unnaceptable.

I would say it would, but only when they fix the ATi driver issue. Give it a few more days and there might be a beta catalyst driver out there to solve some of the issues (hopefully).

You can try it if you like ahead of time. FYI I have a worse CPU than you, GTX560 and only 4GB of RAM and it works 55FPS in Boston (Where people seem to have a lot of problems. Running at 1600x900.

I checked that website and it seems like I'm good to go. I probably won't be getting it until after the semester ends, hopefully by that time they'll have fixed the ATI issues.

Thanks everyone for the responses.
