Unplayable

I Pre-ordered AC3 on Steam and installed it today 11/22/2012, the FPS during cinema clips and game play are at 3-5FPS a sec.
Tried setting in game at normal.
Also wail windows 8 has a lower FPS in all games in comparison to windows 7 this is the first game I was unable to achieve a minimum of 24FPS.

This is a good series and I would love to get playing it so I am looking for imput.

Is this in boston or anywhere in the game? If in boston then dont worry only few people are running it well other while lots are lagging .. If everywhere in the game then thats wierd. Try running ur gpu and cpu at stock clocks if ur overclocked

Yeah my rig is very similar to yours, except i have the Phenom II X6 1055t, @2.8 GHz. Im getting about 2-5 FPS all the time too. This is pretty unacceptable to be honest.
Playing at Minimum settings, DX10/11 and changing Resolution makes little to no difference.

C2D E4600 (overclocked to 2,7 GHz), 4 Gb RAM and GF 5770 1Gb. Win7-64bit HP. 1280x1024, yes (old monitor, actually it is good monitor and I like it, just not big one)
I have low fps in Boston too.
First, I thought that my CPU is not enough, then I realized that when I look down (on floor) game is fluid, fps is high. Only when I look at crowd and city - low fps. I checked CPU usage both with floor-only view and city/crowd - its even, both 90-100% on cores. I assume, that there are some slow effect. Mist may be (this effect always was slow in many games).

we are not talking about Boston we are having low fps in the entire game including the cinema clips. We know that this is an issue incompatibility with you either Windows 8 or AMD. There's obviously a programming error that the game screwed up on. Please make sure you read this entire form before you reply to it as many complaints about Boston have then addressed in other forms but no form that have seen yet has addressed the issue with low fps in the entire game with computers that have the recommended and above recommended system resources.

Yeah im struggling to even get past the Opera bit as the frame rate is so low. People are complaining at 15-20 fps, at least its not 3-5!

Did Ubisoft even check to see if this game is compatible with AMD cards? I mean they meet the minimum requirements, at least make it playable.

I have the exact same problem with constant lagging around 3-5 FPS. I know my system can handle games considering I play many.

Specs:

Phenom II X4 955
Radeon HD 6850
12 GB RAM
Windows 8

If a fix doesn't come out yesterday I am going to get super pissed. I don't blow $50 easily.

FIX IT UBISOFT!!!!!!!! YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE A MAJOR VIDEO GAME COMPANY, HANDLE YOUR BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hyper-v is a new feature integrated in windows 8. It is enabled and disabled throw the add and remove feature application found from the control panel. I don't think windows 7 has hyper-v. Also i have reached a FPS peak in Eyefinity 5760 x 1080 of 48 FPS and a low of 13 during big exsplotions
