This idea is set in the British rule.

The game starts with the player (Arjun) character's initiation into the Brotherhood in Connor and Aveline's group. After a brief tutorial, the player and a few other assassins (One is Razia, Co-op player 2, and other recruits called by assassin signals) is sent to India to keep watch for any Templar activities. The British had joined forces with the Templars and started to rule India, with cruel methods. He interrogates a few soldiers about where their leader is, but ends up without any information. He plans to rid India of the cruel ways of the British, so he attacks the tax collectors and saves many villagers. Some of these even help him fight the British back. Finally after interrogating an official captured by one of the recruits, he learns that their General will be meeting the Sepoys (much like Redcoats) in a camp. He tries to assassinate him, but is captured and given a choice - join the British or die. He chooses to join the British, actually planning to sabotage the army from inside. He even succeeds in sabotaging the army. Meanwhile, after the death of Connor Kenway, he is chosen Mentor and given command of the army. (This is the point from which one can sent assassins on contracts) In the 1857 Sepoy Mutiny, the player fights many officers (Open conflict) and aids wounded civilians. Razia and the other recruits are killed in the mutiny which turned into a revolt. He fights alongside Mangal Pande and even gains the upper hand, but the British had more forces which were deployed and all the soldiers fighting alongside Mangal Pande are captured and executed.

The story switches to Arjun's son, Charles (his real name is not disclosed, all the time he uses his undercover name), who was at that time, just a trainee. The player learns bomb-crafting, and advanced stealth tactics like disguise, blending etc. (there is actually no need for stealth except basic hiding in previous part). Charles helps a band of young men practice shooting and teaches them the Assassin's skills. The group manages to kill Rand, a British official as he came out in a chariot. All the assassins are captured. Charles tries to help all of them out but fails. Only he survives.

[Note:Not finished yet. Will be edited soon, with the rest of the story]

I don't the British again as enemies anytime soon, how about around the time the Portuguese arrived?

Not a fan of the plot...I love the setting though.

I'd prefer a setting where in the EIC has just been set up in India with the Mughal empire on the decline.....we can go with another mixed race Assassin as the protagonist and Templars manipulating the sultanate and the EIC for their own purposes - divide and conquer and all that stuff.

after reading it all this idea does is exactly what Ubisoft tried not to do in AC3. unfairly vilify the British empire.
