Probably like most of you I have been waiting with great anticipation the release of this new volume in the series.

I recently sent an email to Christer asking when it is likely to be released. And I got a reply! here it is:

"" Dear Pips,

Many thanks for your kind and encouraging mail!

I too am waiting impatiently for my publisher, Eagle Edition, to come out with Black Cross/Red Star, Vol. 3. And so are many others who approach me on the matter. Maybe if you contacted the guys at Eagle and told them, they might hurry things up:

eagle@eagle-editions.com

All best,

Christer Bergstr√¬∂m""

So if any of you are keen to see this publication I encourage you to do as Christer suggests - send an email off to Eagle and ask 'em whats going on. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

they plan to reprint volume 1, I was lucky enough to find it at a small used book store about a year ago for 29 bucks.

I still have a brand new copy of Vol 2 still in the box it came in. I ordered it thinking it was Vol 1, and I already had Vol 2. It came from England, so I never bothered to send it back.

I know it's not hard to find Vol 2, but mine will be cheaper for someone who doesn't have it. I promise it's brand new. Make me an offer if anybody is interested.

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.
