Hello - a few years ago this forum was very supportive regarding a book written by my late father-in-law called Alone I Fly.
Bill was a Wellingtom bomber pilot in WW2 and his book tells of his experiences. It is an exciting book as he was shot down on his very first mission and tells of his survival in the desert as well as many further misadventures that befell him. It is very well written and it received a lot of praise here and elsewhere.
The book was eventually published by Pen & Sword and you may like to know it is currently on sale from only 10 from their website

This may be oif interest ot newer members who have an interest in WW2 memoirs

Thanks for your time

Ronnie

Bill's signed book is still a treasured possession Id never sell despite buying and disposing of books at a brisk pace.Nice to hear from you Ronnie ,this forum is a lot quieter these days .many have moved on to th IL2 Cliffs of Dover forums of 1C games

Although the first in this NEW game series is about the Battle of Britain it includes a Wellington (not player flyable).

The title of the book I think plays the major role for me. Whenever I go to buy the book of my interest, I come across with the fact that in some of the books the title does not match. I will sruely not come with the name of the book but I can share that Alone we fly by Osho has something store in it that lured my interest on it.
