I'm looking to buy the Cougar HOTAS, but everywhere I look, they're backordered for months. One online store said there's a supply problem. Does anyone know who has them in stock or will have them soon? I've almost given up and thinking on going with CHProducts, Fighterstick, Throttle and Pedals. Does the Cougar have a twisting stick or do I still need pedals with it?

Thanks.

You need pedals....no twist.

I have one sitting on my desk here and the pedals to go with it, I find it is excellent for collecting dust as for gaming i use my X45..... the cougar is uncomfortable to use not very robust according to the site and prone to a few problems, the software as they call it "The Software other stick manufacturers envy" or some similar tripe is about 1 step up from DOS................ I bought it for Lock On and its ideally matched in my eyes as that's a bit of a bemoth too....... saying that you may love it, its just not my cup of tea... there is supposed to be a mod being built that will get rid of the gimbles all together and make it work on sensing pressure alone, so there is no moving parts, rather like the real thing

I just uninstalled my Cougar again lol. I revisit it every 6 months or so. With my carpal tunnel it's not to easy on the hands.

Wow, so buying the CHProducts Stick, Throttle and Rudder would be a better option?

Many Cougar customers are completely satisfied, both those with the mods and those without, but I'd be very hesitant to spend that much money without an opportunity to try it for the weekend first.
