For our 6th TCD, I present to you a Haven Creature card, the Holy Praetorian!


Once again, please give us your feedback about this card by telling us if you think the card is too strong or not strong enough, balanced or in need of balancing, useful or useless… Share your ideas and opinions with us and tell us what changes you would like to see on this card.

I like this card a lot and I think its a balanced card, it's very strong for board control, specialy in the early game, later on its less usefull because putting your creatures together starts to become dangerous, but still, a good card. Think there are no changes needed to this card ;)

After Sandalphon and Week of the mercenaries nerfes it's ok, no more imba Haven synergy.

It's almost totally balanced,it just needs some slight nerfs.For example let's compare him vs the Demented.

Praetorian:2 res cost,2 req might,stats 1/1/4,melee guard 2
Demented:2 res cost,2 req might,stats 2/0/3,immune to retaliation,sweep attack
Praetorian has 1 more total stat point than Demented(1+1+4=6 vs 2+0+3=5),Praetorian's guard affects 4 positions/squares/whatever you wanna call it,when Demented's sweep attack affects 3(taking in to consideration that both cards' effect are used in 100%,example:Praetorian's adjacent positions are full of creatures),absorbing 2 melee damage is a big deal since most of the 1 and 2 res cost creatures can't harm your creatures.

So my suggestion is to lower Praetorian's either retaliation or health,mostly health,by one.

I'd leave him as he is, so far I haven't had problems with him at all, nor do I think him as push over.

High survivibility and low damage output. It's useful in early game to prevent damage, especially against Inferno rushes. And it's alot less useful in late game. This card seems quite balanced imo.

Hi I think this card is OP.
In closed beta I was playing inferno rush (I was finishing in top 10), but I decided to change my deck on heaven rush, on which I couldn't find way to defeat

Yes that's true that Sandalphon, week of mercaneries were nerfed (and don't forget about v. important nerf of dark assasin), but there was 1 more change.

Now "auras" from pretorian and 2 similar cards can be added.
So if there are 2 pretorians near each other, they both got 4 points of shield.

I think now heaven rush deck (with all cards that are needed) will be unbeaten.
Now I'm playing heaven, and unfortunately I haven't got any week of mercaneries, only 2 dark assasin and only 1 bonus PAO , that's why I'm on about 100th place.

But once more I'd like to say, that complete heaven rush deck (with build 3-1-0) will be unbeaten now in my opinion.

the word op is used for every faction now, so I guess the balance is quit good if every faction has their op stuff.

Just consider: Flyers ignore both guards, and combining guards means that it will be much more vurnable to Aoe Spells.

they are still.
both holy praetorians and sentinels, in all of their combinations. they are ok cards early on. no need to nerf or make them stronger.

The last campaign mission uses a lot of these and can be rough for awhile if anyone wants to face these guys again.

The reason it has more stats and effects more areas is defence cant kill things and attack(removal) is more valuable
