View Full Version : Possible solution to the bad start luck - > faction campaing.

In might and magic 6 at inferno campaing you had to first convince all the units to join you before you could use them, we could implement similiar system to this game.

I am not meaning that you MUST have something done in campaing to being able to use some cards, but that you could get some of the core cards ( up to rare, perhaps just one epic but non unique), By playing a faction storyline.

And by some I mean some, not all, just few of the most used ones.
For example inferno could get ravager and lilim, perhaps breeder mother and pitlord from campaing, ?
Necro could get one fate weaver, vampire and so on. Just ONE card each, no more. Also perhaps spell or fortune?

This wouldn't build entire decks but would allow people to get least base then build arround it.

Just an idea.

Isn't this what the starter's deck is for? Or am I not understanding your point correctly?

I think that what he means is that, if you choose lets say Necro as your starting faction, then by doing the campain missions you get some of the uncomon/comon cards from Necro at every mission, just so that, if you get terrible luck in your boosters, you at least have some extra cards of the faction that you started with. (so a necro would get like 1 vampire, 1 of those spiders, 1 archlich).

There is no need to extra boost starter decks, because actually it's the charm of the game to make it better. With ELO matching for duels, everybody sit's in the same boat, so why boosting and spoil the thrill of collecting. Required is a flawless working ELO matching, which is imo not the case at the moment (see ELO cheating (http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/714894-Quitting-at-match-begin-is-ELO-cheating-and-annoying)) and better pack randomizing (also not perfect, see (http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/714689-Strange-Randomizer-for-Card-Packs)).
In addition, I'd like to see higher rewards at higher levels, to boost players advance in general and making collecting more fun (here (http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/714095-Reward-update-No-more-level-up-at-every-5-levels)the discussion about changes since closed beta).
