Does anyone besides me think that there's an awful lot of detail work that's being asked for in PF that just doesn't matter?

Well, like little sailors running around on deck, manning AA guns.

That's cool and all, but I want an air combat sim! Getting into the teeniest little detail on a ship in PF is getting a little away from the point of an air combat sim.

Well.. sailors add to the immersion and it will be fun to strafe them http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif I'm happy for all the detail they can squeeze in http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Wouldn't mind even more people running around... fire men.. ground crew... LSO http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I'd love that too, beleive me.

But think of what can be fit into PF like a water glass- only so much water will fit in before there's no more room and stuff spills out.

I'd hate to see something really needed spill out of PF's glass because ground crew took up too many resources.

All the little details would be nice but
1)AEP stutters when lots of ground fire on my pc
2)too busy getting shot at to notice details
3)noticing details on ship means bad landings

I wonder whats causing my bad landings now?...

I agree - I have seen a few posts asking for bits and pieces that might be pretty, but will use too much code most likely. I will trust Ilya to make the right choices when it comes down to it...But it is one of the things that is adding to the suspense.

I strongly protest! If it wasn´t for the details we would still be flying like this, only with a very good FM.

F16, you just caused a battlezone flashback, thanks. I don't mean the new one either but the oldie that looked just like the flight one you posted. Just think, at one time I practically worshipped pong and the Atari 2600 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif
