How they are depends, do you play older games?? If you do Omega is better than ATI, if not then you might want the ATI drivers because Omega is tinch slower (For the speed freaks), but............. Omega drivers are more stable(IMO)........ It's always a trade-off in life isn't it???

I went from ATI 4.1 to Omega 4.1 and back to ATI 4.1. The Omegas were slightly slower and didn't look as good to me. Strange too because just the opposite has been true until now.

im still using the omega 3.7 with my R9700np
i tried the newer omegas but they dont include the rad clocker and the hacked driver 9700np
to 9800

anyone knows if the rad clocker and the hacked driver version from 9700 to 9800 is still included ? cus with the new omegas 3.8/3.10 i cant hack my grfx card and overclock it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

i heard the cat4.1 is good but for me i need to get my overclock and hack back to get the same performence as with the omega3.7s

Hi Sunburst,
It looks like the conversion software is included in the new Omega driver download.
I've only read a readme text about it though.
For your convenience, here is an abridged version:

"What's New? (2.5.14 / 2.5.33)
* Based on the Official Catalyst 4.1 drivers. (2k/XP/9x/ME)
* Updated the profiler utility to the latest version (1.3.19). (2k/XP)
* Re-included the 9700-9800 soft mod by popular demand. (2k/XP/9x/ME)"

Regards,
BobTuck.

Omega-Drivers are faster than DNA and Cat's. There is a nice test over on the LOMAC-forum. Omega drivers are faster in ANY game and program, mostly up to 100%.

If you have trouble after installing Omegas or games are running slower, you've not run the DriverCleaner prior to installation.

Thanks for the reference Ranger. It seems I've heard more bad than good about Omega's efforts for the 4.1s. I'll give the test a read and probably give them a try. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
