I've been to:

2 "Game"
2 "Dixons"
2 "Currys"
2 "Virgin Megastores"
(in different cities)
"HMV"
"Comet"
"W H SMITHS"
"PC World"

All I can find anywhere is BoE on special offer. Are the major retailers trying to sell off their stock of the other game first? Where is the Ace Expansion Pack??

I got mine from HMV on the day of release @ 14.99

And BTW BoE is NOT crap - it is really good - and soon to get better with the upcoming patch.

Crap is relative. My criteria for none-crapness is:

1) new planes to fly

2) not spending 25 on something when the superior game is priced at 15

I think these stores are ripping us off and I have no intention of buying BoE.

It's a fair point but surley saying crap is a bit out of order to the guys that made it.

Now let me say why it isn't crap.
You are paying the guys back for the new maps and ground objects you are already using that came with the 1.2 patch.
You get to fly in Dynamic campiagns set in northern Europe - you don't get that with AEP alone.
The skins are of the highest quality!
You'll soon be flying these new planes (many of which are better suited to Western than Eastern theatres) very soon with BoE patch.

Anyway the choice is yours.

I might buy BoE when I get bored of AeP.

I'll be getting my sims from RC Simulations from now on. Not wasting my time with these damn highstreet chains.

Got AEP from `GameStation` new for 15! BOE was 25 pounds in Game! Typical...

AEP is great, BOE is good.

AEP has new aircraft, campaigns, evolved AI, lots etc..

BOE has Western Front Campaigns where you get to fly allied stuff against Jerry stuff. This is why BOE is NOT crap. (Though only US planes, patch should soon fix that). Campaigns are slightly more involving than the Eastern Front.

To sumarise, you MUST buy AEP, and you SHOULD buy BOE if you want Western Front campaigns too.
p.s. You were probably a bit unlucky and got to the shops where they`ve sold out or just not had them in.

Went to Game release day got if off the shelf.
Special reserve's copy turns up one week after release date. Been a loyal customer of there's for over 10 years. I will never us them again.

AEP is in both Game and Gamestation in York, although they only have one or two copies on the shelves. I had some Game reward vouchers so got AEP for only 7.50! I'm happy http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Bought from Gameplay.com on the net it was even cheaper from play.com.

I do suggest you by BOE aswell it fully enhaces the game if you play offline.

Got AEP on the day of release in a branch of Gamestation in West London. I had not reserved it and just walked in after work, grabbed it from the shelf and paid for it.

Forget general stores, go to a specialised shop like Gamestation or Game and they should be able to get it for you no problem.

All the computer game shops here have AEP bar Dixons who haven't got anything new anyway and WH Smiths which are pretty poor here anyway but sometimes the odd bargain can be found there.
I was a member with Special Reserve for a long while and was going to go back to them but decided not to after the "Championship Manager 3" debacle.
