Has anyone asked for the Bf-110G-4 night-fighter variant? I guess I don't know how they would model radar, but you have to admit, the upward firing guns would be a really neat ad-onn.

From what I can gather you guys all seem to like the Bf-110, so I think the night-fighter would be awesome to have.

It's been mentioned many times before but I just don't think Oleg likes all that Jazz. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Quite sometime back, Oleg indicated the reason for lack of nightfighter development lay in modeling of radar of that period. Oleg's penchant for accuracy is legend and he will not compromise on certain things. While for gaming purposes, most of us would be happy with round scope showing target azimuth as the familiar "blips", howevr early airborne radar did not look nor operate like that. It took a great deal of skill and interpretation by the operator to make sense of the oscilloscope-like waveforms and telltale spikes. Granted, most night missions in FB have enough ambient light to allow visual targeting and AI bombers even help you turning on their nav lights. You can always turn map icons on to simulate the radar. Armament like Schrage Musik could still be useful under these conditions, but I haven't seen anything to show interest in it by 1C:Maddox.

Oh, ok. Well thanks for the answers to my question.

Secondly, I've asked this before, but I was wondering what the available options for stores are on the Bf-110G-2 as you get it in AEP?

If you carry underwing bombs, can you also carry external fuel tanks or do the bombs replace them?

Not quite sure what you mean, but all the options the AI 110 G2 could carry, can be carried as well in its flyable state, although i think 1 or 2 load out options are missing on the flyable, i cant be sure on that.

Hope this helps http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Aha! However, the PF dev team has no excuse like early radar for the Ki-45 Night Fighter variant! It had no radar and had upward firing guns. Okay they could just say "we don't want to make it" Oh no! Does this mean they wont make the Emily flyable? It had avs radar..what about Allied flying boats, didn't some of them have avs radar too? They can deny us so many planes now!

Oleg made us see the night muzzle flashes night AND day - but gave us no night fighter ...

Come on with the Schr├┬Ąge Musik http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
