(If this is deemed closable, sorry ivan)

I'd just like to say, i'm very surprised. Currently i do not see any whine threads about 2.04 on the front page of the forums. I think this is the first patch in a long while there haven't been whines immediatly. I'm sure there will be some later, but it seems quiet now. Maybe this forum isn't as bad as it's cracked up to be.

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

Everyone's still either downloading it, stuck at work or somewhere else, or putting 2.04 through it's paces. Give it time.

Those "missing" P-38 fire extinguishers might be the first wave. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Have you tried low level speed and dive comparisons for the Spit IX and the 190A6?

My wings have yet to fall off and I have been doig some acrobatics in the D & the B.. but the compass in the 38 is DEFINITELY porked. Other than that so far its a good patch. I think the 50s are good in it. ou still have to hit what you are aiming at but when you have your convergence set to say 200m and you rake a target at 200m you are more likely to get some damage done than before which is good IMO. The 109s still rock with that cannon but having a sweet ride that climbs well never stopped some folks from complaining in the past so..... oo am I being PI here by saying that?

Sorry faustnik I wasn't saying that everyone who flys on the Lufty side is a Luftwhiner, I have great respect for most of you with those mussle flashes its hard to aim. There are some however that I really do see as Luftwhiners (and I had experience in a server tonight of MANY people complaining that the Spit is uber because it can now outmanoeuvre them as it should).

No problem. Some of us saw an issue and helped the support the Spit fans in getting the issue fixed. My only request is that if an issue is raised about an undermodeled aspect of a LW plane you don't label the poster a "luftwhiner" without considering his arguement. I'm glad the Spit IX has its historic turning ability now.

Of course, I try to judge all arguments on their own merits without prejudgement http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I do think there are some problems with some LW planes, the muzzle flashes for one and oil splats for another (but they also affect the Spitfire BADLY as well). All I want is a sim where all planes are modelled as accurately as possible.

I only tend to class somebody as a Luftwhiner when they are complaining that other planes are overmodelled and "OMG..UBER" with no evidence (and I've seen a fair amount of that around http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif). Btw, I also think are few Ameriwhiners around as well http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Ive yet see anyone stating the spit should be outturned by K4

but none of u bring up the fact that the spit9 in 2.02 climbed with G6 AS, G10, G14 and probably K4 ( havent tested )

dont worry about it ivan they said that even before you were a mod, you know it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif even back in il2 sturmovik they all said that. I agree the quality of the posts have gone down hill like all the videoclips of guncam posts, chapters of red star black cross and other book posts. Data charts and sourced statistics. Restoration project posts and all that good stuff has all seemed to move to www.simhq.com, (http://www.simhq.com,) they moved there before aep even cameout becuase of the whining and people just here to cause trouble which cant get banned becuase of thier spoofed ip address and all thier multiple accounts.
