View Full Version : If there were a demo, what would you want from it?

Chance of a demo is virtually 0, but still.

I don't realistically feel that they'll make a mission specifically for the demo and then not put it in the final game, and we've already seen the E3 demos two to three times, so I picked the free roam option.

I wouldn't expect to gather too much from it, but if it was a couple of side missions that you could do within a contained area, and one or two missions that puts Connor on the tracks of a Templar, though we wouldn't likely get as far to actually assassinating them, it could get people excited for the released game.

That is, as you've mentioned, if we ever actually get a demo.

E3 demos. I want to see as little content as possible so I can fully enjoy it in the final game.

I just want something that gives a tour of all the "gameplay pillars"

I would like to see free roam in an area from E3, but it won't happen sadly.

I feel like it is best if we don't get a large demo. I want something that can satisfy my temporary itch but still leave enough to the imagination for me to still be excited for the final release.

Free roam w/o missions.

Just give me a portion of some place and let me free-run and slaughter random guards.

2-3 spoiler free missions + free roam with blocked off areas and I will be more than happy.

E3 demo.

to be honest I'm happy without a demo. I don't think Assassins Creed has ever had a pre-release demo
while not wanting to re-ignite the anti-brit row a demo of some of the early missions would in a worst case scenario only increase the resentment that's formed and that would cause a potential loss in interest.

it would really have to prove the neutrality the developers are claiming despite the marketing teams best efforts to show otherwise... and that I fear would create some major potential spoilers

It probably won't happen, but a simple E3 demo would be fine. Just to get our excitement up a little more.

I'd like to get used to the new controls, see how it looks on the TV, etc. Just something to play over and over endlessly until release :p

That's why there's no demo.

Ubisoft doesn't want that many people's blood on their hands, what with all the starving to death

An entirely new mission. Why would I want more missions spoiled?

07-17-2012, 05:07 AM
dont really wanna see too much gameplay so e3 demo would be great

i voted for one the e3 demos. i mean, the majority has already seen them so there is nothing to really spoil for anyone. making an entirely new demo will just cheapen the experience in my opinion.

I'd like to play the Boston demo. No spoilers, no missions, just a taste of what the combat and climbing will feel like. Throw up some of those traditional white desynchronization walls to keep people from seeing the whole city, restrict access to shops, and you've got a demo ready to go.

Or maybe they could give us the demos they showed earlier to certain people..Bunker Hill.

This would defeat the point of a "demo" but just a section of the frontier with animals. I would just love the experience of swimming/hunting and climbing around. Although it would be a poor demo and most people would be like "THERE IS NOTHING TO DO D:"
