If you completed the AC2 glyphs, you would know that George Washington possessed an Apple of Eden atleast in 1781. If you didn't complete the glyphs, go to the video below and skip to 1:32:

Yeah, so George Washington owned an Apple of Eden. Not only that, but he joined the Freemasons in 1752. The Freemasons were linked with the KNIGHTS TEMPLAR order. And I dont see any other reason than him being a Templar to own an Apple of Eden.

Could this mean that George Washington is secretly the main antagonist of Assassin's Creed 3?

The history books says that he slowly died after gaining an illness because he never changed his clothes after inspecting his plantation for several hours in the snow, rain and hail. Could this "illness" possibly be Connor poisoning Washington after discovering his affiliation with the Templars? Leave me your thoughts!

This has been talked about alot. There are a lot of threads that discuss this if you search, and they have some good theorys.

Yup, subject has been beat to death. I doubt he will be a Templar though.

Ubisoft can't really make one of our nations heros the villian here... i mean, that would look bad on their part.. and i know that not everyone on the forums are american, so nevermind that...

It was a real Pope. In fact, most of the major players in AC have been real historical figures. Real pope: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Alexander_VI

well, i knew that most of the people were real, but i always thought that he was fictional... wow, i learned something new...

That's what I think is great about AC. They take real historical figures and make them part of the massive twmplar vs assassin conspiracy theory.

Yeah I think that if they can make the leader of the worldwide Catholic Church a villain, they can make George Washington a villain.

Not saying they will, though.

As soon as I heard about the game being set in the American Revolution I made the connection between the Freemasons and the Templars. It would be interesting. It will be hilarious to see the backlash,

Well supposedly, Washington was man who never took more power than he needed; thus assuming if Ubisoft goes along with that path it's entirely possible Washington won't be a Templar. He also doesn't die until 1799, far after the game is over so its doubtful Connor will kill him.

Also, as mentioned before, having a Apple of Eden doesn't make one a Templar.

To be fair he wasn't exactly a good guy, so making him a villain wasn't really a problem (I guess).

if Ubisoft won't make him a villain for the sole reason of not angering the US market then i will be thoroughly disappointed. If someone gets touchy because of it then that is there fault and no one else's. AC is never meant to be taken seriously. they don't actually mean what they show. I'm sure there are British developers, and catholic ones. heck, Corey may is an American. But anyone, and i mean anyone who gets super angry because there favourite heroes is made to be a villain can go and take there patriotic *** elsewhere

Prepare to be disappointed IMO. I can perfectly believe they will show Ratonhnhaké:ton killing some blue coats and that Lee may be "the villain" since he was already a controversial figure (and didn't like Washington), but I bet they ain't gonna touch Washington's holy image. Won't be surprised if they even omit the fact that Washington ordered Mohawk villages (and food supplies) to be completly destroyed

I'm sure brits wouldn't like it if Ubisoft made Winston Churchill a templar.

They did.
And we don't care. If you are oversensitive about certain issues then AC is not the game for you. I stand by what I said, I don't care if GW isn't a Templar, as long as it isn't because people would be angry.

Oh and screw fox news, people should just boycott watching that crap. It's worse than the tabloids
