Was wondering if Iowa class will see the game.
Maybe Yamato!!??
Looking at the AA on Iowa class. There are only about 120 AA guns on board.
Since I setup a airfield with a Essex class AA arrangment the computer was abit slower.Wish there were some quad 40mm.
Thought maybe we could get the Utah for target pratice.

It seems a given to me that we all might need an upgrade to handle all the AA put up by a US or Japanese capital ship. My old AMD1600 starts chugging pretty badly anytime I take on the Marat or several Wirbelwinds. Also, when you consider how much AA was shipped on late war US and Japanese BB's I don't see how we'll be able to sink the wiht the current AA AI.

As a start, here's a list of ships I think are necessary for FP

2 Japanese carrier classes (Akagi and Hiryu maybe),2 US carrier classes (Lex and Enterprise), HMS Hermes, Several of the US Pearl Harbor BB classes (Arizona, Oklahoma), HMS Prince of Wales and Repulse, 1 or 2 Japanese BB classes (probably including Yamato), 1 or 2 US late war BB classes (Iowa, Alabama, etc, and a variety of CA's, CL,s and DD's

You don't ask much, do you? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

But no Hermes. Its too small. The other carriers have better names too. Invincible, Furious, Formidable, Fromageedible.

Don't forget that rowboat with the 50cal!

The only time there is a problem with ship flak accuracy is when you are miles out of site of the ship flying alone and it starts shooting you. In close the ship flak AI seems reasonable. If you attack with a large force (12+ bombers) flak is not a problem even on the big ships. The thing is people think they can attack a ship by themselves and sink it without the flak getting them. Do you guys think the guys running the flak aren't all going to be pointing their guns at you if you come in alone? I know I sure as h3ll would be sitting on the deck of that ship with any gun I could find and be flinging lead at ya if you were attacking me.

Yeah its not bad. You can Stuka pretty much anything without getting killed, so long as you drop from 1000m or so.

Stuka is a verb now BTW. Like "punked".

Good book on US BBs (shows gun arrangments)old & rebuilt & modifled during the war.
Battleships of the USNavy in World War II
Terzibaschitsch
ISBN 0-51723451-3
Bonanza

Also shows different radar arays and when installed.

Wonder how the Stukas will do vs 20 5" proxsemity fuses under radar control and the BB making 33 knots.
I would dread having to fly against this amount of AAA. The late war TFs the US Navy could & did assemble were how do you say!?!? awesome.
Iowa BB
Baltimore CA
Flecher DD
Essex CV
all moving at 30 knots
With subs and land based air support.
There were around 2500 carrier based planes at the end of the war.
Would like the Utah for Target pratice.

When ever I ponder on Imperial Japanese Navy Battle Ships.
The first class of ship I think of is the Massive super structures of their KONGO Class Battle ships.

Id bet my bottom dollar we will see Kongo Class Battle ships in PF, after all they did run amok unopposed in the Pacific there for awhile.
