Hello everyone I'm in a real fix.
Have installed IL2 for the third time, each time I start the game it brings up an error message il2fb.exe - Bad Image

The application or DLL C:\Program Files\Ubi Soft\IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles\rts.dll is not a valid Windows image.
Please check this against your installation diskette.

I'm thinking if i edit the file extension to something else it might work but really don't know what to!

Does anyone have any thoughtful suggestions or have I just bought a corrupt copy of the game?

rts.dll download

It seems that in some cases the file is not being transferred over from the cd correctly and the file shows up as 0kb. The rts.dll file should be 882kb.

To resolve this problem, please download the attached 'rts.dll' file and save it in the main Forgotten Battles folder (C:\Program Files\Ubi Soft\IL2-Sturmovik Forgotten Battles) as well as the ubi.com folder (C:\Program Files\ubi.com).

rts.dll (http://ubisoft.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/ubisoft.cfg/php/enduser/fattach_get.php?p_sid=WV4ERj1h&p_tbl=9&p_id=1109&p_created=1046901185)

Jhoala, i had the same problem when i installed FB for the first time. I asked my uncle to help me and if i remember correctly he copied & pasted the RTS.DLL from the disk (wich is about 800kb) into the main FB folder and 2 minutes later i was airborne..
Try this first before you send in your DX Diag to the Tech boys. I'm sure it will help! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
