Baldie is that your server? Anyways, whoever owns it, great job. Very nice server, everything is spot on, the map, planes, settings and smooth as a silk. Well done!

On the side note.. once again i saw the difference that padlock broings into the game.. yes, externals take away element of surprize...but so does PL in its current stage. Untill PL distance limited to 1km or ability to regulate distance given to the host... and ability to see thru the clouds is disabled... PL is off on VFC*HOST as well - as of today. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

Guilty as charged.

I have to admit, I am very pleased with the way FighterJerks has been running. With a bit more tweaking, I expect it to become very popular. The only thing that I don't like is the icons, but many players asked to replace tail-numbers with player names, so I did so.

And isn't Kuban a load of fun? I used common sense when I built that map...

If I were running an air-war, front-line support would come from older fighters. I want them out of inventory so I can get latest/greatest as soon as possible.

Newer aircraft are going to be hard to come by, and I want to protect them. Place them further back and give them to seasoned pilots who have done thier time at the front.

Bombers need time to gain altitude. Place them as far from the front-lines a possible. The can meet thier high-alt escorts on the way, since the escorts are based on the bombers' flight-path.

If we could get a decent 'heavy' for RU, I'd be in sim-heaven!
