The MS site is still listing only 9.0b as the only one available. I guess your talking about windows, right?

I installed it on my laptop and noticed some improvements in a couple of games and got reasonible frame rates so it was worth that but... I would not install it on my desktops as i don't want to rebuild them if it goes to pot.

Erm I guess I'll be waiting until I see it officially on the MS Site, cos I am in the middle of a MSc dissertation and cant really afford the time to rebuild if my machine goes tits-up http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

If you wish to try the Service Pack 2 beta you can download it from here. http://download.microsoft.com/download/5/a/f/5aff45ae-ef27-4821-b666-d2b6530cbe4f/xpsp2.exe From how I understand it is that its an open beta that is not advertised.
I had it for about a month or so and didnt really see much difference. You are able to uninstall it via add/remove programs if you want to give it a try.
One nice thing about it that I liked is the new and very much improved firewall which acts more like Norton and others.

Does it have an expiry date? I know some MS beta's have atime bomb on them that stop working after time.

See you in the fence....
