Fast help, I think you'll manage from here:

Open rcu file under main directory and paste this in (you can save your default rcu if you want):

@set fast off
@set echo on
@set alias on
@set history 20

@alias a alias
@a h history
@a s show

#@file il2stab.rcu

#DEFAULT ikone

You bring console down by pressing SHIFT + TAB after mission starts.

You don't need Stab. Just use the rcu file in your IL-2 folder.

Here is one tutorial:

However if you're in an online server, the host has control. All that's available to clients is the "Toggle Icons" keyboard command (you may have to assign it) which allows you to turn off icons if the host has them on.

You just probably forgot to turn icons on...

In such case, put your difficulty settings on easy, i.e. turn everything off except vulnerability and start the mission.

When it loads press Esc go to your CONTROLS and scroll down find TOGGLE ICON TYPES under MISC section.

Map it say to ALT+I (I have it this way) hit APPLY then back to your mission... if icons don't show up press ALT+I untill they do. If they still don't show up then exit mission because you haven't turned on icons in the first place (i.e. failed to do so under DIFFICULTY SETTINGS before mission started).

But if they show up as expected, then press SHIFT+TAB and bring down the console and type i (and hit ENTER) and e (hit ENTER) (assuming you arranged rcu file they way I posted above).
Custom icons will show up.

You can't really go wrong with this if you follow every step of the way.

il2stab line is some residue from an old prog I used to run in the past... I just left it there in spite of not using it for years now. Wont mess up anything anyway:cool:.
BTW # char at the start of line means that IL-2 will skip that line.
