View Full Version : So......does this game support LAN on the PC?

I'm seeing many web sites using the word LAN to describe playing this game, but can not find any form of offical announcement from UBISOFT that I can actually play multiplayer offline with no internet conenction whatsoever. (LAN)

Anyone have an actual tweet, facebook post, or announcement from UBI that confirms true LAN support?

I'd appreciate it. I'd like to buy this game, but won't if I can't play it in Afghanistan in a tent with 8 guys and a hub. (or if I can't play single player without an internet connection...)

Single player will be fine, but matchmaking will probably take place over the net. IIRC, none of the most recent Ubi games have LAN support. The last one to have it was HAWX and R6V2, I think.

I figured as much, but I keep reading the following online:

"All GRFS single player campaign maps will be playable in co-op, both online or offline (LAN), up to four players. We know that you love co-op and we want you to enjoy the thrilling campaign missions either alone or with friends, seamlessly."

Or something similar.

I have no idea whether that line is to be true or not. The most recent Ubi TC game, SCC, had you go online to play 2-person co-op. Was kinda silly when my co-op partner was 3 feet away.

I'd like to know myself but we will have to wait until after the console run and probably closer to PC release to find out exactly what the PC version has. Most of the information right now is for console only.

Does the PC version includes split screen??

I have asked before and would like the answer to this too please. The Steam page says "play on the same console and TV with two-players split screen mode" which is a bit confusing and misleading to put on a PC description if this only applies to consoles.
