Will Ubisoft be at E3 to finally show gameplay of AC3 after the filed lawsuit? I have heard that court cases can go on for a long time before a decision is made..

Yes, none of their games will be at any risk during the court case, only after, but thats only if they lose the case

I'm not so much concerned about the similarities of AC and that book.
I'm more concerned about the stuff that's inside one of the glyph puzzles.
There's a glyph puzzle about the corrupt law system.
He could use that against ubisoft in court.
With this he could get the lawyers on his side.
He really had/has to dig into the AC storyline though considering even some AC fans don't know about it.

lol, but if the judge ruled in favour of the author because of that then it would just prove that the law system is corrupt

And it is, Especially in America.
These games are getting played in court all the time.

even if they (Ubisoft) lose the case, Ubisoft and this guy have more to gain releasing AC3 than stop doing it, I believe the only problem that might happen is the game don't be allowed to be released in the USA (but I doubt it'll happen)...
