I would love to be able to fly a b-29 or b-17. although i don't want it so complex i can't get it off the ground.the best thing about IL-2 series is the adjustable complexity of the settings from "novice" to "expert" makes the game replay value very high.

the only thing i could possibly add to the whole series is more bombers and water landing seaplanes. if they did this this game would untouchable. (as if it wasn't already)

Yep, there are a couple of twin engine bombers in development for PF but no quad engined that I know of. Would be nice to have a flyable B-24 as it was used extensively in the PTO.

There's always the TB-3 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Can you imaging trying to cross the Pacific in a TB-3 !?!?

I meant that's the only four engined plane that we have now, in FB.

I dont think he was takin a shot at you, Yellonet...

Can you imagine that though - flying from San Diego to Pearl in a TB3 it would take what, about 2weeks....or as long as it takes to get the patch. hehehehe

We would need the wormhole that swallowed the USS Nimitz in Final Countdown to warp us all the way across the Pacific.

How abour "real time" search missions in a PBY? They might not be fast (100 kts or so cruise) but they went for a LONG ways. That translates into a really LONG TIME. It would be historically accurate to eat a few meals and take a long nap, just as we still do crossing the Pacific today!

For myself, I hope, pray, and long for a B-29. But if we are only to have a single flyable 4-engine, then I'd go with the B-24 and hope it might be made flyable in Forgotten Battles too. There is a modeled B-17 now, so that is a start on a 4-engine model, and there is nothing wrong with a fortress, they got around. If 4-engines just eats too much in the way of resources, then a good widely used 2-engine medium like the B25 is probably best. This is a plane that flew everywhere with every allied airforce--from carriers to the Eastern Front.

Er.. We ARE getting the B-25 Mitchel guys...
But indeed, a B-24 would be sooo cool.

Who knows we might even get the Super Fortres, thereāĀ“s a lot of talk about it.

I onlly hope that flyable bombers are balanced so we can use them as humans in on line wars.
FB has that problem, teh onlly flyable alied bomber is the TB3, wicth is a treat to fly but a littlebit outdated http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

So in PF I hope the Japs get a decent bomber to be used by humans.
