View Full Version : Oleg???? About, Home Base Properties/Country Markings Player allegence

Hello Sir!

I would like to see In FMB the control in Properties to limit amount of aircraft per Home base,when building a Dogfight server map. Also maybey limit the type as well. Like, lets say I have a 1944 senario set up but want limited 262's at a cetain base. On a scripted server, So that everyone cant grab them and run over the entire server with them. A few 262 in a mission is fine Historicly, but a Historical balanced mission would be them as the minority, of the LW aircraft to be involved.

A simplier solution to this would be having the control in FMB Home base properties window have a box to enter text on how many planes could spawn on any Airfield.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

The Allegence thing is. I'm wondering if you could make the game force the Axis Markings and Allied markings to Blue, and Red players. It so frustrating in a FR or close to FR server to fly up on someone and not be able to tell his allegence RED, or Blue. It would be ok if Mission builders would always split the sides Historicly, but so many don't they allow all aircraft for both sides. Thus negating the ablility to spot your foe by his aircraft type, (profile)

Whats up with this. I was looking for a Airfield for what I am posting above and I found this on the Gulf of Finland map.

Notice the Blue base. It will spawn you in the water. Is this an antisapation Home base for the PBY?

The airfilds on the water that you may find on some maps are for AI sea planes only.

Kewl Have you tried setting up a map using AI PBY and seeing if it floats ?? Oh Yeah and Bump BTW

Thanks Oleg for the Reply. Anythoughts on the otherstuff??

No Balrog I haven't yet but now that I have found it I will. I've place the float planes in the water before with out an airstrip and they take off jst fine they just won't land were you tell them. So with these bases they should land there I would think we will see.

When I played Day of Defeat they had a server option that limited the weapon types. You could limit sniper rifles to two players a side, machine pistols to lets say 3 a side.

Is that what you mean? If so, a good idea.

Yes thats the type of thinking I mean. Limit typs of weapons (IE Aircraft types) Even forceing them to default ammo loads would be nice addition aswell. Basicly if we had the same control in dogfight settings as we do in COOP or single play it would work great.

Also In COOPs if we could force the lead aircraft AI only, then the Humans could fly his wing and the timing of the mission would fall into place as the mission builder set the misson up to be. As it is now Humans take off fly what ever course and get lost, Or show up too early to the intended waypoints.
