Back to IL2! Need some help!

I'm back to IL2 1946 since years... now I've seen some screenshots with some new graphics like better clouds, etc. and I believe that comes from UltraPack3 is that right?

Which are the 'must have' mods to get IL2 graphics up to date? I'm on a macbook pro with ATI 6750m ...

Is there a 'best' conf.ini to download?

One problem with water: when I switch water=4 in conf.ini, it always gets resetted to 1 after I start the game... whys that?

Hi chinch123, welcome back.

Sadly, this is the one remaining IL-2 forum that doesn't allow links to mods - but you're right, UltraPack can provide some extra visual goodies. Google is your friend; ;)

As for 'best' conf.ini settings, I think you'll either have to experiment, or find someone with exactly the same hardware. There is a useful guide to configuration settings over at M4T (http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Knowledge_Base&cat=7 - though the server seems to be down right now),

Just a quick FYI

Ati cards do not support either Water=3 or =4, only 1 or 2.
