http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gifIf the P-38 is getting rear defence warning, are we going to be getting a true Night Fighter? Such as the Me-110 version with upward firing cannons? Maybe? That would make some extremely interesting bombing missions! What do Yah think?

They are impressive. The P-38 should be a mainstay. Now we can have good anticipation looking forward to flying them, no doubt it will be a nice few weeks of peace. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Hmmm... This makes me sad. We get the friggin P-38, Mistel and Gotha (did it even fly?!?), but not the finest fighter ever built - Spitfire! I'm gonna puke all over my keyboard! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Very cool shots, thanks for posting!

Just wondering why the Mistel is an Fw-190 with a Ju 88A-4... Operational Mistel (with the warhead attached) were usually composed of Fw-190A/F with Ju 88G-1 or Bf-109F/G with Ju 88A-4...

The training version (with intact cockpit on the Ju) could be like composed like this because the long range wasn't neccesairy. (sp?)Quite dangerous if a landing was too rough, the Fw's prop was only ~30cm above the Ju's crewed cockpit!

Now we won't get the 3000+km range, since the 190 can't drain fuel from the Ju's tanks... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif(hence the name "Mistel")
Still cool to fly it, just wondering what a blast that 2,5ton warhead will give!

Yes....one version...out of 20+

Countless verions of the 109, 190, Yak, several P39's, etc....and one Spitfire. The Vb (1941 vintage). The Russians themselves used more variants of the Spitfire than we are getting in the paid add-on.

I'm one of the 'should of been in IL-2 Sturmovik v1.0' camp

Why? because the Russians had 1500 of them. Of all the fighters offered to them under lend lease, the ones they specifically requested were...Spitfires, and P39's.

The P39's we got...the Spits we somehow didn't

If I had all the money I'd spent on drink..I'd spend it on drink!
