View Full Version : I'm generally against bringing back acb maps to acr.. but if its going to happen...

think they ought to consider bringing back Alhambra.. Here's a gameplay video for those who may not have really got to play it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwZTdd9yGKQ .. it was the new map on the da vinci dlc, but the playerbase dropped off after the dlc was released. I bought the dlc but only played the map 2 or 3 times. It looks like a cool map, possibly even one of the better ones because of all the unique arcitecture.

A lot of people have wanted multilevel maps in acb where if youre on the upper level theres still civilians there so youre not technically roofing, but you can stil get above people... This map had that... but it never really got to see the light of day IMO.

I think this map would make a great community unlock map or something. yeah it was a dlc map. but since the Mediterranean travelers DLC is coming with base maps from ACB, I think this would be a nice present to the community to bring this map back as a freebee like mon st michel was.. and it'd be a great way to revive the map so the players can enjoy the hard work that went in to it.

alhambra still ws a lot better than MSM

Alhambra is my favourite map ofa ll time, it works with every single game mode. Tha amount of variety and pleasure i get from this map is incomparable to any other. I don't understand why people hate this map, i've scored 3 of my best scores on this map back in ACB. Also, it would fit with all the characters due to the Moorish architecture and Islamic influences just like Turkey. Ubisoft please bring it back. MSM has nothing working for it. The Detection meter would work due to the big open spaces.

Hell no!

I have played Alhambra in AC:B and was really wonderful. I like the detailful architecture and the different levels, despite it being a little hard to navigate at first for noobies like myself. No relation to MSM map though. I hate MSM map with a passion.

Ack, no no no no no! Besides, we already have Galata if you feel like getting roofed on a roof.

I'm fine with Alhambra.

honestly, I'm more than cool with Ubi bringing back Alhambra. I loved the scenery and architecture, and quite frankly as you said sting, it worked on every mode.

galata's arcitectures isn't very similar to Alhambra at all.. except fo rmaybe it has a small essence of it in that part used for playing deathmatch.

I hated Alhambra with a dying passion XD. The only thing I liked about it was how pretty it looked. I do agree that it's a better map than Mont St Michel though

This made me LOL. xD But as much as I loathe it, I'd take Alhambra over any of the AC:R maps (with the exception of Souk) any day.

Hell no!

I might be ok with that because I've been playing a lot of AA. And it might be a good AA map. It's certainly better than MSM. Even though it is a tad on the large side.

IMO Alhambra is the best map in AC after Souk, My chances of getting roofed on this map was about the same as on Siena or Gandolfo. Roofs are not high on main floor (which is 3rd) and mostly transparrent, so almost no one used them. Maybe my expirience differs because I'm PC player and we didn't have DLC selection problems, so every DLC map was played a lot and every good player knew how to properly play on them.

I distinctly remember in Alhambra players standing in the middle of rooftops all over the place to bait others to come at them. And since you could see EVERYONE on the rooftops when you were on a rooftop, it made most of the level pointless to traverse and be stealthy on.

At the same time though, it was a very beautiful map, and for game modes like Manhunt and Escort it was definitely more fun than for Wanted. I bet Artifact Assault, Steal the Artifact, and Corruption would be badass here.

Still. The current DLC map pack has the best options. Siena, Firenze, and San Donato were all very balanced and simple maps... and given the complexity of the new ACR maps (except Souk), it's a welcome change.

Players can play Karlsson-on-the-Roof on most maps, only Souk and Gandolfo stand out. I seen this kind of behavior on San Donato and Siena more often then on Alhambra. They are noobs having difficuly dealing with pursuers in any other way. They almost never score high. If you leading in this game just forget about them. What differs good maps from bad maps is ability to lure your pursuer to the ground almost everywhere. Thats why Firenze is so bad.

I would really like to see Alhambra returning. It was one of the maps you had to learn to play on them – that was why I liked it, because it was an even more complicated map than all the others. And it would be in fact a really funny map for the new modes like Artifact Assault or Corruption. The architecture and colors were nice anyway and also fit to the general AC:R style and also to it's complexity. So why not?

I dislike Mont St. Michel, mostly because of this big fat church in the middle that annoys you in most of the game modes where you have to run a lot (while the architecture isn't so bad at all). They should bring back Alhambra instead of Firenze which was neither a really good map nor it was new to the players (because we already new Firenze since AC2). Or they should bring it back as kind of an unlocking map or things like that what the players have to vote for. Would be great anyway!

yes, firenze was even worse than alhambra. Alhambra was ok in terms of gameplay, and beautifull in terms of design.

Although i cant really remember a portion of alhambra that would be suitable for deathmatch

I'd do the central courtyard on the 2nd level, and include that walkway on the southwestern corner of the courtyard and the southern strip of walkway overlooking the big souther courtyard. That way players can walk around the courtyard and not be in it, and also use the southwestern chandeliers to cross over for a quick escape.

I'd like to politely decline a return offer for Alhambra, I distinctly remember raging at my TV at that time because all I seemed to play was MSM and Alhambra and both were just crazy messy roofathons.
