Oh man, I know EXACTLY how you feel... I reinstalled the whole (holy?) game two days ago after 5 months of agony.

just one question: was it easy to get back into it after 4-5 months? I know you won't forget theory during that, but how about the routines, e.g., shooting accuracy, takeoffs, landings etc.

IMO it's like swimming: once you get it, you never forget it. I found it surprisingly easy to come back. Like I never even made the pause. However, messing with other sims in the meantime could do some damage IMO.

i found it extremely hard to fly up to my usual standards, i couldn't even down a zero in a p38 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

i bought the complete edition to simplify reinstall .. but made the silly mistake of using it as a play disk (thought i would get around to fixing that later)

one night of the kids burning CD's and a few almost invisible scratches and I am back to the old multipatch install (most of the DVD is one huge cab file that seems very vulnerable to scratching)
