I was trying to post a comment on the wonderful "Requiem" film and received the above error message. My post is lengthy (a written page) but strictly text and although I was unable to get it to post I posted a "test" message and I believe that is under review by the system administrator. Can you help me?

thx

martin

I often compose lengthy posts in Word, and for some reason, the copy & paste routine doesn't work for me either. Try copy & pasting to an email message sent to one of your other accounts, or if you have only one, send it to a friend with a note to send it back. Supposedly, this strips out the MicroSoft kooties.

Then you can copy & paste it to this forum without fear.

Try Notepad. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I do like Horseback does, because I kant spel veri well. But this forum needs a pure text editor, so I copy and paste from word into notepad, then from notepad into the forum block.

It works that way, and you then have the ability to do spell checks from Word.

For the notepad method, make sure you save the notepad version as pure text. You may even need to close notepad after saving then re-open the text only version to strip out the last of the non-printable gremlins that contribute to this problem.

If you are getting the problem composing the posts in the reply window, the suggestion to copy the text prior to hitting the post now button and retrying in a new reply window if it doesn't work should help.

Also a help is that the quick reply box seems to suffer this issue less than the normal reply box.
