http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/agreepost.gif I agree plus the company making the game waists there time on the movies and the book insted of just focusing on the game and making it better.

Well if they keep stalling for a launch date we might be reading the game before it actually comes out! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

graphic novel would be good

but i got a good imagination so ill make up my own pictures ^_^

oooo or better yet the film short bieng done in the style of a grphic novel(think 300) rather then a straight forward cgi film like the final fantasy films.

I don't think UbiSoft has much work in AC novels, movies, etc other than giving certain companies the rights to make said products.

Correct me if I am wrong, though.

If the book, which is a pre-quel to the first game in the AC is coming Oct, does that mean the is farther away than we think

the book tells the story before the game if its a pre-quel. it doesnt means its comming out before the the game just that it gives the story of altair before the gamess setting

think someone said the movie was kinda like an intro to the game, sure theres a discussion about the films somewhere where jn006 said that its bieng made by ubi they are/have opened a cgi film part to the company and one of his friends was working on it

film conversions from games are historically **** see doom, silent hill, alone in the dark for examples lol

ubi i think are doing what the matrix team did they had the films then you had the animatrix (several animated and cgi shorts filling in bits of history that the film didnt like why mouse is such a neo fan and keeps saying he saved him) then the original matrix game that ran its own course for much of it but included film referance and characters. occasssionally the level became part of the film likethe car chase level where you have to save morpheous when he is fighting the agent on the truck

its building the world and history into a more solid cohessive story then simply trying to recreate the game in book/film form

I don't think the movie is going to be that bad. I mean, it's only eight minutes and it's a CGI film. Look at FF7: AC. That movie was a hit...
