I wonder how much detail will go into the damage modeling of BOB? Will we get to see sub-terminal damage levels like bent wings, wing-spars, jammed flaps/slats/ailerons etc.? I guess it's not that high a priority but would certainly be nice to see more deformation and functional type damage. Then again, I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere that we'll get to burst some tires on particularly hard landings... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Can you imagine the prop shearing off your He-111 and spinning into the pit gashing a big ol' hole down the side?! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

This is something I'd like to see. Plus, if your plane gets hit, you have to seriously think hard about pulling too many Gs or it'll be too much for the weakened area and cause a complete failure. I'd also like to see the same thing for the pilot with fatigue being modelled.

Also, it'd be nice to have 'damage' being carried over between missions - e.g. your groundcrew telling you to 'take it easy' cos they didn't have time to patch it up properly http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I can't imagine this. The detail needed to make this contradicts the motivation to make Flyable 2-engine bombers like He-111.

Joke aside the whole prospect of BoBs new engine looks very promising and exciting. And for sure there's gonna be a lot of (good) surprises once we get to play it.... IMO.

The "G" stuff would be indeed very nice , but not only on dammaged planes, seeing a wooden russian plane (will not tell which one, guess by yourself http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ) making a 5G or more turn after a full speed dive without any structural dammages looks a little suspicious to me http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Tha fatigue question is not such a good idea, try a good 2 hours online mission and you gonna be really tired, you're even gonna loose some weight http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

And about the Dammage plane, it could be done offline but not really doable online... and even offline, the game should take account on the fact that (for example) the russian planes were much less better maintainanced than the german ones, they should have more mechanicals problems so flying russian would become a real nightmare or taking your spit on a rhubarb on france in the futur BoB and then in the middle of the channel, your engine having troubles with only one solution, trying to get back to britain or land on water, all the fun of the sim would be lost and i'm sure a lot of people would agree with me on this one.

it would be fantastic if offline your engine life was modelled as well, giving you an incentive to not fly at 110% all the time

I'm pretty sure Oleg said previously this would be in BoB.

Was flying the Hawk offline the other night in a QMB testing stick setups. Haven't flown the thing in ages. Took a couple of hits from a zero and she became sluggish. A look out my port side showed a panel on the leading edge bent up. I had never seen that before. More of this type of visual damage modeling is most welcomed.

I certainly hope so. It would also be nice to have some element of 'role playing' where you could "build up your pilot" so he became more 'G tolerant' etc over time.

Hmm. Maybe that's going a little TOO far. We'd have people trading 'pilot points' on Ebay just before they go into HL http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
