i was thinking that in brotherhood and in ac 2 lucy, shaun and rebecca talk quite abit about the other assassin teams maybe assassins creed 3 is set mostly in 2012 (the present) and you don't use the animus that much? i think this would be quite fun like a stealth mission into abstergo's base and trying to assassinate warren vidic maybe?

There is no doubt that there will be much more time spent outside of the animus in AC3 as it will be the final game for Desmond. However, there is no way they will do away with it entirely nor should they.

There has been so much talk about where the next one will be, but no solid conclusions as Ubi is keeping all info very close to the chest. However, London, France, and the American Revolution are at the top of most peoples list.
A lot of people say the American Revolution would be no good because there wasn't a lot of climbing to be done. I feel the story would return to greatness and that is worth a little less climbing.

IMHO
No animus and game totally focused on Desmond --> failure
It's reasonable a balanced 50 and 50.
On location: my preference goes to XVII-XVIII France or XIX British Empire.
XVIII Usa is not a good location for AC gameplay: few people, no major cities, very rare buildings, no monuments, no history.
G. Washington was masonic(templar), c'mon Ubisoft cannot put the Father of Usa as a villain http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

^ and that's the American Revolution wouldn't work...there'd be way too much "Americna hero" and "freedom" stuff flying around.

I want it to be modern times only but with a couple of flashbacks ( something that Desmond had back in AC 2 In Acre with Maria.
It would be ok that way.

Ummm assassin's creed has been all about freedom and God forbid we have an American hero we can have an Italian hero and a Middle Eastern hero but no an American one is out of the question... I digress, I don't really care I just want to see how the story plays out
