Why are these smoke plumes after crashed planes resembling burning oil-wells more than a crash-site? Can't it be toned down a bit in amount and duration?
The smoke could expire when the crater disappears.
Or did the WWII gound-crew fill craters first and then put out fire? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Yeah, a low level fire of random duration with some of the new smoke and fire effects (objects) would be cool. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I wonder what burning aluminium looks like, and if it produces smoke?

Its a silver-white flame and gives off some grey smoke. Sparklers usually burn aluminium.

hey f-16 lighten up. good god there arent any bug smucks on the wind screen. then after oleg and co work their collective asses off to give us (bug smucks} some fuss pot would want grasshoppers and someone else black flies and birdguts so lets be happy with what were given instead of worrying about what we havent got.
if we got nothing else ever we still have a most amazeing and wonderful tool to have untold hrs of enjoyment with.lets be thankful that the man and his team are still here with us and whatever comes out of the skunkworks will be to the benifit to all.
happy flying to all and a special thanks to the big guy in the sky as mr maddocs is recovering and resting so he once again can create and add to the great joy of all who use his product.

cheers

Very true words Bob http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

But there's always room for improvement and suggestions, which is cool. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
