Revetments!

Cool, do ground objects block LOS for weapons fire and explosions? (ie: do they WORK?)

Fantastic Dev update today. I think we are getting close to release times...:-)

Yeah, the SBD and the George are really nice looking. Congrats to the modellers! Well done. The "Thunderbolt" looks reallt great too. Brutte and deadly. I hope some day it can be flyable. It sure can kill B29s

It's recognisable as an SBD-5 by virtue of having a reflector sight, rather than a telescope sight.

He-he. It couldn't look in any other way, than perfect. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif There is a reason for that.
And yes, this an SBD-5, first of all it is recognizable by absence of the air intake on the top of the cowling and different cowl flaps.
And second, the reflector GS and the armour glass under the windshiled

Well, the game looks finished to me. If Luthier could just send me the .torrent file, I'll get to downloading it right away. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Excellent update! Look's good! These are the kind of updates that make you think about the game day and night, while you eat, while you sleep, just waiting! (Or I have problems! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif )

Really great update! thanks again to Oleg, Luthier and co. for keeping us inmates at bay.

the SBD will be fun to fly - cant wait to 'drop in' on the Akagi with a 500lb'er.

The Decoys will give a new level to Ground attack!

Will there also be Flak-traps in the neighborehood?

A decoy airbase was used disrupt the navigation by land marks of enemy A/C,

Or to lure away bombers from the real airbase,

And to atract enemy strafing Fighter/bombers and suprise them with camouflaged Flak possitions.

One day in the Occupied Netherlands a sole Luftwaffe-man on ground duty on a Fake base with Wooden aircraft was brougth to a dissapointing feeling when The RAF Bombed 'His' Airbase nothing happend when a bomb was dropped, when he went close to the 'dud' to investigate he found out the Bomb was made of Wood!

Airfields were always in short supply in the PTO since they have to be cut from jungle. Frequently the planes were widely dispersed into trees, I'll scan some decoy pics later.

I sure hope we also get the potent 'GEORGE' N1K2, with the low wing and 4x20mm.

I imagine this means that you are the modeller SaQson. If that is the case, a hearty congratulations to you on a fabulous model!

Man, I'd really love that Shidenkai to be flyable instead of just AI.

Speaking of the Avenger Canopy. I think i read somewhere that the version in the update a while back was an early model, and the in game one released in PF will have the correct scale Canopy Frames. Just goes to show how good of a game series Il-2 is when instead of complaining about missing features or things not in the game, we can pick on the models windscreen for not being the right size http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif mmmmmm i love me some Oleg
